“A friendly and comfy motel, just outside of town in a good location for hikes and the Cabot Trail”

Staff were very friendly and obliging, they gave us some great tips for our drive around the Cabot Trail.

The property is located perfectly for visiting the local area with an abundance of trails to suit everyone. The property has its own private trail that guests can use which is an easy amble alongside the river and through thin woodland. The proprietor was very helpful with local information on facilities in the town along with restaurants etc. If you are driving towards Cheticamp in a Southerly direction, the Cornerstone motel is the first accommodation before entering the town, look for the unmissable coloured apartments. Each room has its own parking bay right outside its door entrance.

The location was perfect for exploring Cape Breton. At check-in, Greg was extremely helpful and friendly with his advice on restaurants and things to see in the surrounding area. It was close to Cheticamp as well as numerous hikes in the area so it made a perfect base.

The Cornerstone Motel is a nice place to stay. The room was cosy and the bed comfortable. The hosts are friendly and helpful and offer you free coffee in the morning.

The location is perfect - just outside the park entrance. Immaculately clean unit backing onto a pretty creek. The owner has created a small 15 minute walking trail and there is a large lawn where kids can play away from the road.

Cute and clean motel conveniently located in between Cheticamp and the National Park - a great base to enjoy local hiking. The room was comfortable with air conditioning, a bar fridge and a full bathroom. The Cheticamp River runs beside the motel providing a refreshing place to stroll and dip your feet (or even swim!) on a hot day! The owners were very friendly and helpful.

The property is outside of town but has a lovely area for walking through the woods and along the river. The room was clean and comfortable.

The location and facilities were first rate. It was a haven after a long day’s driving and hiking. The welcome and information on arrival were appreciated as was the tranquility and space around our unit.

Location, as it's right on the edge of the park. And the owners are incredible, welcoming and helpful with information. Next, the rooms are super comfortable and clean. And finally, the property is immense and has the most charming trail to explore...oh and the price is incredibly reasonable.

A lovely place to stay overlooking the river. it's out of town but close to the National Park. A good sized room with comfy bed.
