“Cute, well decorated, quiet and good value.”
Beautiful French oceanside-themed room, simple but elegant. Quiet. Great view of the ocean. The owner was very friendly and attentive. They have a stocked games room with pool table, board games, various teas and coffee, a large screen TV and various DVDs. Would be a good place to stay with family or friends. Short drive to Chemainus, beach and various outdoor activities.

“Nothing is too much trouble!”
The location of the Villa is superb with stunning views over the bay. The whole house is warm and welcoming and our room was spacious, well furnished, with a massive, comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious too. The freshly baked White Chocolate and Raspberry Muffins for breakfast were "to die for", and there was fruit and yoghurt too, and plenty of tea & coffee......although, you could probably have anything you asked for. Our hosts, Christie & Sterling are amazing people, and nothing is too much trouble.........we had the perfect last night on Vancouver Island, and won't hesitate to recommend By The Bay Lavender Villa to absolutely everyone!

The breakfast was good, freshly baked scones and yogurt and fruit. The place was spotlessly clean, smelling of lavender and it was great to have an AC room in the middle of a hot summer. The hosts were friendly and responsive.

This is a quiet place, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by the host. To our surprise, we saw a little deer and several rabbits. What a beautiful day!

Loft above the lower garage. The space was awesome. Lots of room, comfortable. The view from the deck was beautiful. We got to see the sunrise at 5:30 am. Lots of rabbits hopping around the yard.

The location of By the Bay was excellent. We were looking for somewhere near to Chemainus Theatre as we had booked for the evening's performance. It was way up a very steep hill but had a beautiful view of the water. The rooms were very clean and very comfy. The breakfast was very good although the room was quite small. I would imagine if all the rooms were occupied it would be a bit crowded, but I guess you could always take it back to your room. It was very quiet and peaceful and check in was a breeze as the owners sent us instructions on how to get in. We didn't see anyone until the next day but that was fine. They were very trusting!

“Beautiful Last Minute Stay”
Absolutely beautiful property with ocean views! So cozy & well decorated. We booked last minute getting rained out of camping. I checked air bnb and expedia and didnt find anything i liked and then at the last minute Google brought me to booking.com and that bathtub sold me! I was worried the room might of not been available after finding the air bnb listing but called and our reservation was good to go! It was lovely I'll definitely recommend to friends & family.
