“Not the best”

Tbh has nothing to do with what I saw advertised tiny little room with a bathroom which u can’t lock so small that u can’t actually shower standing as u will touch the ceiling. Also no air circulation so it stink im so sorry if im being negative but it was not what I paid for

A rustic accommodation with wonderful staff and amazing rooftop, very conveniently situated in the north of Chefchaouen in walking distance of all sights as well as parking.

Views from rooftop were amazing hotel was was a bit noisy especially early hours of morning guest coming home late

Scam who took my money and provided no lodging. Liar who said location was only 3 minutes walk from taxi stop, while it was 15 heavy climbing in a narrow labyrinth so I had to ask help from a local who only climbed with me for 25 dh. Heavy air in hotel, mouldy walls, no air conditioning,although it was written in booking.com. Manager did not even serve me at arrival as he was eating. He didn't speak English, didn't care about the issue of lack of heating which in that cold and mouldy place would have been fatal. I lost my money but kept my health at least.

When I checked in, some guy robbed the people moving luggage, took their money and ran away. I was really pissed off at the time, but then the manager went straight back to the hotel, helped me check the surveillance footage and called the police to handle it. He was really responsible, so I let it go. The house is really good value for money, but the special terrain in Shevshavan means you have to climb a lot of stairs - it's exhausting. People with big luggage should be aware of that, and also keep an eye on the person showing you around and carrying your bags. Agree on the price beforehand by recording it, and give them change or they won't give you any back. Breakfast was great, and the terrace has a beautiful view. The owner and staff are all very attentive~

“Disappointing stay - Dirty and not as promised”

We got a room at first, that didn't have AC as promised. The city was like 2C at night. It was cold. The bathroom was dirty and broken. The toilet lid had no screws. The entire top of the flush was gone. The bedroom was suppose to be two single beds and they gave us a double bed instead. After separating the beds ourselves we noticed how dirty the room was, with all the dust. The reception was quite nice honestly, and tried to help us so in the end we got another room, which was OK. The ACs heating function in that room didn't work though. Hygienic wise it was passable. Honestly I have no idea how they have above an 8. The second room I would maybe rate 5-6 at best.

“Beautiful people and building, the jewel of Chefchaoen!”

WONDERFUL STAFF! Beautiful traditional building in the old town, lots of character, great views from the terrace. Good value for money but the real jewel here is the staff - spoke perfect English and were SO friendly and helpful, forever grateful to all of them who looked after us so warmly and with such welcome, and especially to the wonderful Hamsa who helped us find our way and looked after us all of our stay. 10/10 would definitely return.

The staff are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We where booked for 3 nights but stayed for 6.
