We stayed at Dar Jiblia in Chefchaouen as a group of 7 and had the most wonderful experience. Our host, Zoubida, was absolutely amazing – she made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The home itself is genuinely beautiful and artistic, full of charm and character. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed, and the balconies were a perfect spot to relax and take in the views of Chefchaouen. It really felt like a home away from home, but with a special touch that made our stay unforgettable. I can’t recommend Dar Jiblia enough – both for the stunning house and for the kindness of Zoubida, who truly made our stay exceptional.

“truly disappointing”

Truly Disappointing The stay was truly disappointing. The accommodation was dirty, with cobwebs on the walls and leftover bags of crisps and drinks from previous guests. The bathroom situation was a complete mess: some bathrooms had no toilets, which meant going up and down stairs constantly. If you have difficulty with stairs, avoid this place—the staircases are extremely steep and unsafe. In Morocco, it is almost standard for breakfast to be included. In this case, they charged five euros, but we were actively discouraged from ordering it. Most frustrating of all, if you need an invoice or receipt for your stay, forget it. The owner flatly refuses to provide one and simply refers you to Booking. Booking, however, states that it is only an intermediary and that the owner is the final recipient of the payment. As a result, no invoice, no receipt. What should have been a pleasant and enjoyable experience turned into a source of frustration—both during the stay and afterwards.

Very friendly staff, beautiful home, and absolutely perfect location close to everything you’d want to see in Chefchaouene. Staff made us tea when we arrived and were very helpful in answering questions about the area. Home was spacious, safe, and comfortable!

The on-site restaurant served delicious meals, and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options to start our day right. We also appreciated the hotel’s attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction. Overall, we had an exceptional experience and highly recommend Dar Jiblia to anyone visiting the area.

“Wonderful property Love to come again!”

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish.. Our host Zoubada was extremely friendly and we could not ask for more. The property was amazing with an exceptional roof terrace for views. It is so beautifully decorated, quirky and chique very classy.. It was so central both squares and medina being within a four or five minute walk. There is a little Kiosk just right of the property for essentials such as eggs, milk and biscuits and the guy that runs it is very sweet and speaks english too!. There are amazing eateries near by, Zoubada the house keeper was so lovely she will direct you and help with anything you need. Also check out Bab Souse about a 5 or ten minute walk away in the Bab souk area, ask for directions, the food is excellent there, and very authentic and excellent value! It's where the locals all go to eat..

we loved our stay at Dar Jiblia. The views from rooftop were amazing and the house was centrally located. we enjoyed breakfast at the hose one day. the inside was very cute and had great decor. highly recommend.

The house is amazing and the host is wonderful! There are so many beautiful and cozy details inside! The roof is so good, breakfast is tasty, everything is absolutely amazing!

“Will definitely stay again”

Location, breakfast, has a washer, a good choice if you want to experience a traditional home stay (the inside is like a maze with many stairs that leads to different terraces - cool), the housekeeper Madam Zoubaiia is very helpful (she intro us to a local guide, brought us to experience a public Hammam, she made us feel very welcome!)

Absolutely beautiful property that had everything we needed for our stay. We especially liked the rooftop and the main seating area. Our host, Zoubaïda, made us amazing breakfast (which we would definitely recommend) and was incredibly helpful organising transfers for us and a hammam. Overall our stay was lovely and would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for accommodation in Chefchaouen

Clean, spacious villa. Loved the style and decor located in a gorgeous blue laneway. Delightful hostess in Zoubaida. Her cooking was exceptional and went out of her way to look after us.

“Central and quiet location”

The location was great. Centrally located but away from the hustle and bustle of the busy shopping streets. We loved the modern feel and brightness of the apartment. The Dar was very spacious and perfect for a family of four or more and the roof top patio was a great space to retreat to at the end of the day. The host met us with the key when we arrived and was very friendly and accommodating. We had to leave early in the morning and checking out was very easy. We enjoyed our stay!

The hostess supported us with the transfer of the suitcases from Av to the Riad. The house is spectacular, comfortable and clean 100%. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your meals. The hostess is super friendly and warm. The rooms are large and the terraces are spectacular. It´s perfect for long staying. and families. Near to principal square.
