A good place in old Medina. High recommended

Great spot

When I booked the hotel, I was hoping that it would be close to the entrance of medina. When we got out of the taxi, some young people wanted to help us with finding the hotel and took us to a building that, according to them, was previously called Dar Blue Pearl, but it was bought by a different owner and changed its name. I was very scared that we would be cheated and would not have a place to stay, but, finally, Ahmed picked up the phone, sent me the location and we found the real hotel :-) The hotel was a little deeper in the medina (about 300m upper), but still close to the entrance. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was a little small, not very comfortable, but there was hot water :-) The top floor of the hotel offers great views of the mountain and the medina. There was a great restaurant very close to the hotel. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay in Chefchaouen. Many thanks to Ahmed for helping me to call to the bus station to ask about my lost phone :-) Also, thanks to Ahmed for letting us keep our stuff until the evening when we checked out. Therefore, we could walk around and admire the medina all day.

It was clean, just like the photos, the price was fair to the service and the staff were so kind. The rooms and the bathrooms were big enough and I loved them!

The hotel was central to the pretty blue part of the town, had lovely views over the town, there was hot water, clean comfy beds and bedding, the staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English.

There is no TV and no bathing supplies such as shampoo and soap, but everything else is good

Dar Blie Pearl is lovely place to stay in Chefchauen. I’ve been there twice on my visits in marocco and it is one of my favourite places I’ve stayed in. The view from balcony is amazing, better than lots of cafes around the city :) Women working there was so friendly and so nice! It was nice to see her every time!

Staff were very friendly and facilities were very clean and comfortable. Easy walk to get to the square for restaurants and very close to walk to everything

Very clean, great location just a minute into the Medina gate, lovely closed terrace with a view of the mountains and great host Ahmed that is very responsive throughout the day - considering the price in comparison to others within the Medina, I can highly recommend Dar Bleu Pearl as a great option for a stay within walking distance to everything!

“Price-convenient room with own toilet in the medina”

The hotel is well located in the historic medina and easy to find. A good restaurant, Assada, is just 50 m away. Room was standard, with own toilet, nothing special. It was very cold and rainy in March, no heating but there were 2 thick blankets. Hot shower worked well.

The location was excellent, right in the medina. Staff and owner were very pleasant.

The room was okay, and the hot water in the bathroom worked fine.

The room was very basic and lacked proper communication. The owner seemed to assume that guests already knew everything, without explaining important details such as the absence of a heater, no hot shower, or where to get extra blankets. The room became extremely cold at night, especially after a full day of rain in Chefchaouen, which made the stay uncomfortable. There was also no check-in briefing or follow-up to ask about the guest’s condition or comfort. Additionally, the location is quite hilly with cobblestone roads, which can be difficult to manage when traveling with luggage. Clear information in advance would help guests prepare better.
