Anna and Andrew are just awesome. You gotta love them. Always checking up on you to see if you’re ok. Great breakfast. Awesome dinner. What more can you ask for. If you are a big family with a couple of kids this is your place. Please bear in mind: This is not a place for loud noises and bantering. It’s a place where people come to search their souls, reflect and find their meaning to life.

The peace and quiet was exactly what we were looking for. The hosts were lovely. Gorgeous swimming pool! The night sky was simply incredible!

Beautiful place! We were welcomed very kindly by the owners. We had taken the cheapest rooms, they were still comfortable and clean. They also offer excursions, the most beautiful should be those for stargazing, the view of these is spectacular. Unfortunately we were tired and we did not take advantage. For those who are passionate stargazers it is an ideal place, it also has stations for telescopes. Very good dinner, as well as breakfast. I thank the owners for their hospitality!

Rooisand is an oasis in the middle of the desert! Absolutely beautiful setting, very nice accommodation (we stayed in the Comfort rooms). Delicious food, served together with the owners and the other guests - we enjoyed the friendly, communal environment. We did the "Astro Tour" with Axel which we really enjoyed, a chance to see the amazing night sky through the telescope/observatory. We also enjoyed hiking in the grounds. We loved our stay here and would love to come back one day! Highly recommended.

Rooisand is a little oasis in the middle of nowhere. It is an excellent place for stargazers, nature enthusiasts and people who like a homey and personal atmosphere.

Great place to stay, with good food and super friendly staff. My daughter wasn’t feeling very well so they kindly made another simple dinner for her to have back in the room. The view of the stars was also to die for.

Star-viewing through their awesome telescope was our reason to visit Rooisand, which was fun, in particular because it was presented by a layman and not an Astrophysicist, which made it made it more relatable for our family.

“Quiet location, great pool, helpful staff”

We were on a cycling trip and this was our one luxury rest day. We were the only guests so had a great time, the large pool was ours! The staff were all very helpful and looked after us, even though we were two very hungry, very dusty cyclists. The food was excellent. We didn't know what to expect as we hadn't stayed in such a place previously but it turned out to be perfect for our much needed break. We took the cheapest room, small with two single beds, but it was perfectly comfortable.
