The house was a beautiful historic building full of wonderful original features. The location was excellent (heart of Châteauponsac), and the breakfast was plentiful and exactly what we ordered. The best part of our stay however was Paul and Melissa. They welcomed us like family, totally looking after us including walking us to a pizza place in the town as no restaurants were open (on a Monday) and we needed to eat. We genuinely could not have asked for better hosts.

Breakfast was phenomenal and the host actually tailors it to your requests. Owner did most of the renovations himself and there is a very nice combination of old and new inside the structure. I highly recommend the experience.

Beautiful character home set in a lovely village,

We were driving through France and this place was perfect for our route. We wanted something a bit special for the night and we absolutely found it. Le Chateau has character and history and something interesting to see in every room. We were made to feel welcome by the hosts Paul and Melissa from the second we booked to the second we departed. Would definitely recommend staying here and if we ever back this way will certainly stay again.

Easy access from the motorway. Quiet village. Amazing old castle with history ! Nice welcome from the landlords. Secure parking.
