“A very friendly and comfortable stay at Fairhaven”

It was very clean with spacious private rooms for guests and private areas including the garden areas. It was located in a very nice area Raven took time to personally welcome us and give a tour of the property

Friendly, comfortable guesthouse. Staff very helpful with queries about accessibility before arrival. Although the place is not strictly accessible, I was able to get in and out and store my mobility scooter with help from the staff. Pleasant porch for eating breakfast and nice to make it oneself from what is provided.

Host was lovely and room very comfortable. Excellent 'help yourself' breakfast provisions. Great outside/patio space.

I stayed with my husband and two teenage children. Raven and Flame were great hosts and very welcoming. It was great to have access to a well stocked kitchen to make ourselves breakfast in the morning (Raven and Flame provided lovely local organic produce - fruit, bread, eggs, butter, tea and coffee etc). The house is quiet and very central. You can walk into the historic district in 20 minutes or take a cab if you prefer. Do note that there is a shared bathroom. This wasn't a problem for us (there are 3 bedrooms, we booked 2 of them and during our stay the 3rd one wasn't actually occupied). If it had been occupied by another guest, we wouldn't have minded but I guess some people would. There's a lovely area at the back to sit outside but we were only in town for a night visiting family so didn't have time to enjoy that. We would definitely like to come back. We found it much nicer than staying in a hotel for a family with two teenagers. There are also lots of leaflets and guides available which was very thoughtful.

We loved the location and the hosts were hospitable. The organic bread, butter eggs and jam plus the good selection of coffee and teas. Impressive recycling and no single use plastic which was rare to find in other accommodation that we stayed in.

Flame and her husband are two delicious persons. She does everything to make our stay confortable. Good breakfast diy with bio and local products.

The hosts were super nice, we felt very much welcomed! Loved all the art in the house, which was made by the host. They had local organic products in the fridge for breakfast, and such as eggs and fruits! Comfy beds, the rooms were clean and colourful. You share the B&B with two other rooms, which was fine, no traffic in the bathroom ;).

You can tell that Flame and Raven have been hosting for a while, they have everything absolutely sorted! The guesthouse is equipped with anything you might need, and most things are plastic free and planet friendly which was a great bonus. We loved the space, the self-service very generous breakfast and the super quick response time. We would love to stay again if we come back to Virginia!

The hosts were soooo goood and friendly it felt like family. They were the sweetest. our stay was so comfortable and they provided us with so much stuff.

Fairhaven is a lovely and very friendly place to stay, I liked especially the relaxed atmosphere eg the option to make one's breakfast with access to good facilities. Its emphasis on sustainability is great.

The location is great – within walking distance of the city center. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. Raven and Flame were very friendly and helpful. In particular we loved: the commitment to being environmentally responsible and the possibility to fix your own (delicious) breakfast at your own time.

The breakfast food was wholesome and organic. The toiletries were all fragrance-free ;-). The location was quiet with easy access to downtown and the interstate. The hosts were welcoming and helpful.
