Large amount of room downstairs for us to use, for example a pool-table, fuss-ball table, television, real fire etc. Upstairs, the bedroom was absolutely cavernous with a very comfortable king-size bed, plenty of space to place suitcases, and a bathroom that was more than adequate. Secure car parking behind an electric gate was a bonus.

Great location in the old part of Mezieres right on the ramparts; really friendly couple who run it; huge, beautifully appointed (& comfortable) bedroom and bathroom.

As the simple, though adequate, breakfast was included in the price it was not possible to assess its value. We were grateful for it. However, I would have preferred the bread/pastries to be placed centrally rather than shared out equally between the guests. If it was truly 'complementary' it was fab. If not, a simple bowl of fruit would have been a great addition.

“A jewel of a place in a unique location”

Location was perfect for us, with secure parking for our motorbike. Room was fully equipped and very big, bed was large and comfortable. Hosts were lovely and very helpful. This was an unusual room in a family home which was great. Would highly recommend this place as close to city centre and located on city walls.

The location was excellent right on the banks of the River Meuse and close to where we needed to meet a friend. It was a short drive into the main area with restaurants etc. Room was spacious and had air conditioning. Bathroom was new and very clean. Hosts couldn't have been friendlier and more pleasant. Breakfast was excellent and laid out for us very beautifully. The house is full of interesting and quirky things. We would definitely stay there again.

Amazing, old and tranquil building. Going through the gates was like entering another world. Fantastic, huge bedroom and ensuite. Very comfortable and well appointed. Lovely to be able to relax and enjoy the outside space. Superb and plentiful breakfast. Thank you :)

“Great hosts but relatively boring area”

Kind hosts who helped us very well. Room is well equipped with a fridge and large bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast was also great! Parking is free in front of the gite.
