Overview
This Charleston French Quarter art-focused hotel includes 2 hotels—19 Vendue and 26 Vendue—dating from 1780 and features rotating art exhibits and tours. Waterfront Park, Market Street, and Charleston City Market are less than 5 minutes' walk away. Complimentary morning coffee and pastries are provided and drinks can be enjoyed on-site at The Rooftop cocktail bar. Our restaurant, Revival focuses on recipes and/or ingredients from South Carolina’s past. Extras include a daily art reception with wine. A 200-piece rotating art exhibition is on-site at 19 Venue and additional art installations can be enjoyed at 26 Vendue. A free bike hire, indoor and outdoor event space, and art programs are offered as well. Free milk and cookies are included in every nightly turn-down service at The Vendue and The Enclave at The Vendue. Every room features a cable TV and an en suite bathroom. The King Street shopping district is 600 m from the hotel, while Charleston International Airport is 21 km away. Guests will be 350 m from the Port of Charleston and 2 km from the South Carolina Aquarium.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. Hotel came with many perks like pastry in the morning, sherry/brownie in the afternoon, cookie at night. The interior decoration was awesome and the location could not be better.

Fabulous service. Doorman was awesome - valet parking was fast and easy. Check-in was beyond fast. You would wake up to fresh pastries and fruit outside your door every morning. Great location for local sight-seeing.

Life safety not up to standards. Sprinkler heads painted, and the door to our room did not close and latch automatically as required by the fire code.

The hotel is a beautiful, interesting work of art with lots of neat artworks in it. A very friendly, accommodating staff. Fantastic location, near great restaurants, historic locations, and a cool park along the water. The hotel provided free bicycles for use, and I loved the opportunity to ride along the water and around downtown Charleston by bicycle in the morning. (I do suggest that the hotel not allow people to take bicycles out all day. 2-3 hours is sufficient and fair. I didn't have a problem, but I can imagine shortages in the availability of bikes because people just hold on to them.)
