Overview
The historic Dewberry Charleston is a mid-20th century boutique hotel is located in the in the Mendell Rivers Federal building and features an American Southern brasserie-style restaurant and a craft cocktail bar. Spa at the Dewberry, a fitness centre, and library are available as well as the Fieldshop from Garden & Gun on-site shop. The 696 metres of indoor and outdoor event space includes a glass-enclosed rooftop venue. Floor-to-ceiling windows, flat-screen TV, and minibar are standard in every room at the Dewberry Charleston. Extras include an en suite with Vermont marble accents, free toiletries, and slippers. The Charleston Museum, American Theater, and Charleston Farmers Market are 3 minutes’ walk from the Charleston Dewberry hotel. The South Carolina Aquarium is 1 km away.

“A stay at the Dewberry is like stepping back into the chic world of the "Mad Men" era”
Loved the mid-century chic decor throughout hotel and in hotel room. Overall design was thoughtful and unique even down to the room key card matching the fabric on the armoires in the rooms. The room felt "homey" and comfortable like staying at a friend's home vs. a hotel. The bathroom was also well laid out and stylish design. We enjoyed breakfast in the "Living Room" as was not a traditional restaurant set-up. We also enjoyed the atmosphere of the rooftop Citrus Club. Hotel is a very easy, central location to King Street, highly recommended restaurants, historic homes, etc. The concierge was also excellent pre check-in and during our stay which was a refreshing change from other 4/5 star hotels we've stayed at in past year where it was a struggle to get knowledgeable, experienced staff due to labor shortages.
