“Great location and clean property”

The hotel is close to the Charleston tourist area. We had a free shuttle between 4 to 10 PM, to commute to and from within 4 miles radius. We took the shuttle to go to the Meeting St, as we had plans to drink. The shuttle driver Mr Michael was so friendly and funny. He took great care and dropped us at the spot where we needed to be. We stayed well past 10 PM, so getting a Uber ride back to the hotel was also easy.

Staff was all incredibly friendly and helpful. The room layout was unique and spacious. Big bathroom. The gym was very clean and well maintained.

We did not eat breakfast. When we went down to eat, the food did not look appetizing.

“Stay here for a disappointing, overpriced buffet”

$13.00/person for a substandard buffet is outrageous. None of the food, of the poor selection, was hot. Several items were cold and when the buffet attendant refilled the scrambled eggs -- replacing the dried out crumbs still in the serving dish -- they were still only lukewarm. The biscuits were lukewarm, the gravy was cold. The grits, if removed by a spoonful and hurled across the room could have done damage had they struck anyone -- the were beyond cold, lumpy, and congealed. The next day we ate at a real restaurant, paid the same price and received HOT food. Oh, one other thing. Replace the toilets with comfort height toilets that approach 19 inches. It is really not comfortable squatting on a toad stool that went out of date decades ago.

The bldg was very nice. Easy access and good parking. Bed was comfy and the TV fine. Decor was modern and staff was friendly.

For work the location worked very well, the rooms themselves were rather nice but the bathroom was a bit dirty.

Front desk staff was rude. No breakfast first 2 days and when there was, tasted like old reheated powdered eggs. No bar available in evening. Lumpy mattress, made my already bad back hurt more.

Because of the attitude and lack of professionalism of the staff, our entire stay was effected and not in a good way.
