“Lovely”

Our room was lovely but had signs of damp on walls and windows, which I guess relates to the age of the building.

Stayed several times, genuinely to daye cannot fault one thing - best of the Macdonald group / alongside Inchrya … Amazing value for money, this location is my favourite for the peace and service. Excellent everytime.

Beautiful countryside setting. We were celebrating my husband birthday and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay.

My husband has MS and therefore has mobility issues. We knew beforehand that facilities for disabled people were limited due to the nature of the building. The staff however were very helpful and went out of their way to assist when they could. We were given a beautiful room on the very first floor, therefore limiting the amount of stairs my husband had to climb. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, with some great ghost stories to tell and a bit about the history of the building. The chef was kind enough to make our party of eight lovely soup and sandwiches before we headed out to an evening wedding reception. The location was just stunning.

Tea in flask lukewarm at breakfast, asked for pot. Some items missing from table eg. marmalade. Hospitality tray in bedroom filled with Nescafe decaf and caf tea, 3 fruit teas, no ordinary breakfast tea and 2 pods of milk. We asked for more milk and got a generous jug which we kept in the whb in cold water as there was no fridge. We loved the grandeur of the building, the spacious grounds and enjoyed the evening meals.

The room was stunning and the bed was very comfortable. Dinner was delicious and we enjoyed a few glasses of wine by the fire in 'the snug' after dinner.

The sfaff were pleasant. Restaurant food good, if pricey. Why change so much for extras?

Room and facilities were excellent. Loved the bar and the location of it within the property. The breakfasy was lovely as was the meal on the evening.
