“A beautiful riverside stay full of traditional charm”
We stayed in the Mat Room at Punyashthiti Ville and loved the peaceful, traditional atmosphere. The wooden architecture, open courtyards, and riverside balconies made the whole place feel calm and special. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and full of character. Breakfast included a lovely traditional Thai selection alongside simple continental options, which was a great start to the day. A wonderful, relaxing stay in Chanthaburi.

Beautifully renovated old house. Bed was very comfortable, beautiful room with a balcony right on the river. Very friendly and helpful staff. And a good location for exploring the city. A lot of nice restaurants, cafes and bars in walking distance.

“Great place!”
Super friendly place! We loved our room very much: cozy, but had everything you need. Fridge, water, tea pot, shower amenities. Window from shower cab was sooo nice:). Hotel has private parking in the same street, 200 m behind the building, on your right hand. It is not easy to catch it from the first time, but it does exist:)

“A slice of Thai culture and history with modern comforts.”
Charming staff. Beautiful river view from the balcony. Breakfasts were amazing, especially loved the Chinese doughnuts. Great coffee shop in the hotel. Hotel itself was lovingly restored heritage house. Part of the historic, characterful Chanthaboon riverside community. It was an unforgettable experience made even more special by Moo who led her team with charm and grace. Thank you.

A property steeped in history, location in the old quarter of the town right on the river. The balcony affords views of the church and of a temple, and has a fan which helps keep you cool when sitting out enjoying a coffee or beer. An ample and excellent local breakfast is included in the price. Staff are friendly and efficient, and can arrange a car for sightseeing out of town. Recommended without any qualms.

“Lovely B&B...in a lovely part of town!”
Really lovely accommodation in a traditional style and beautifully decorated. We had an upstairs room with outside decking overlooking the river. Staff were friendly and helpful...would definitely recommend this small b&b! Good value for money and comfortable rooms with air-conditioning and fridge / kettle etc

“Oasis of calm, historically interesting building.”
It was like walking into an oasis from the bustling market. Beautiful building. Particularly liked the display of its history. Staff friendly but we struggled with the language barrier. No options for evening meal but there are many nearby restaurants.

Absolutely beautiful. A real gem of a Heritage house. Very special and unique, in a world dominated by cheap IKEA furnitures and standard hotel rooms looking the same all over the world. The minute you step into the Punyashthiti Villa you enter a different world. Very much recommend!

Great location in this charming “village”. This town is not touristic at all and many restaurants don’t speak or have English menus. It was great to explore the town on bicycles from the hotel to see how the locals live. Our room had a balcony facing the river and it was nice to sit out there in the morning and late afternoon.

“A place to stay when you visit that area.”
The location is just perfect. The building has amazing atmosphere and the stuff is really pleasant. We had very nice breakfast you could choose from traditional thai version or more european style of dish just up to your choice. The view of the river from balcony with sunset was very relaxing and calming.
