“The best boutique hotel in Chania”

We had the most wonderful stay at Serenissima Boutique Hotel in Chania. Tucked away in the heart of the Old Town, the location couldn’t be better - just steps from charming cobbled streets, cafés, and the Venetian Harbour, yet wonderfully quiet at night. The building itself is beautiful - a Venetian townhouse with high ceilings, original stonework, and tasteful modern touches. Our room was spacious and immaculately clean with an elegant, understated décor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and little details like high-quality toiletries (Molten Brown) and a beautiful bath/shower with just the right amount of pressure. The baby cot was a beautiful Nuna cot and incredibly luxurious for my little one. Even the baby sheet was beautifully embroidered with little animals on it. Attention to detail is next level. We had two rooms and our rooms linked onto a terrace. This was the best part as we enjoyed relaxing on the terrace every afternoon. Breakfast deserves a special mention: everything is fresh, seasonal and prepared to order. The scrambled eggs were absolutely divine as well as the pancakes. We loved trying different local cakes/biscuits for breakfast too. The staff were warm and attentive. Be prepared to cart your luggage at least 7 minutes from the Main Street to the hotel. Chania's streets are very narrow and cars are not allowed after a certain point. Serenissima is a gem and the absolute best you will find in Chania. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Nice and comfortable place to stay in a lovingly restored 16th century Venetian house with Ottoman additions. Despite being in a busy part of town, it’s very quiet once inside. The night porter, staff at breakfast (Petros) and Vasssilis (who checked us in) were all very helpful and courteous.

The room we had had an internal courtyard view but the room had adequate room, good shower and bed. The breakfast was very good and the staff very helpful.

“Boutique sanctuary on a busy vacation”

Location was near the water and all the shopping, on a narrow alley. The staff was gracious and helpful with dinner suggestions and our room was very nice. Wish we could have stayed longer. Be prepared to park a short walk away. Breakfast was elegant.

It was so beautifully presented and conveniently located close to restaurants, bars and the waterfront but still a short walk out of old town. Staff were very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations.
