Overview
Housed in a neoclassical mansion, Doma is a boutique hotel on Chania’s waterfront. It is adorned with antiques and features individually decorated rooms overlooking the Cretan Sea or the garden with the old fountain. Rooms at the family-run Doma Hotel are elegantly decorated with calming colours and wooden floors. Each includes air conditioning and a TV. Some rooms have a seating area and big, furnished verandas. A rich breakfast buffet with fresh fruit and homemade preserves is offered in the dining room with the large windows overlooking the bay. Guests can relax with a cocktail at the bar on the 3rd floor with sea views. Free Wi-Fi is available in all public areas. The Venetian harbour of Chania is 1 km away and the town centre is within a 10-minute walk. Chania International Airport is a 15-minute drive. Staff at the tour desk can arrange car rental to explore beaches such as Falaserna 50 km away.

“Excellent stay, warm and polite staff.”
Excellent stay due to the very polite staff, especially the breakfast ladies. They were very sweet and police. Reception was very polite too particularly the gentleman with the long hair. It's been a while since I have been to a hotel that people are genuinely happy to work there. My room was spacious and had a nice balcony. Breakfast was not very big but everything that as a Greek person wanted from and very fresh. Fresh orange juice, feta and kaltzounia! The view was very good too, ideal for a nice early morning. The extra door between the entrance and the room a bit of noise isolation and the room itself was very clean - coming with both a ceiling fan and an air con.

“Great experience staying at such an authentic place”
The hotel has its own history and you can feel it in every detail, very authentic place and great experience staying here. The room was nice and clean, the bed and pillows are really comfortable. The staff are super friendly and helpful, always approaching you with a smile. Breakfasts are not typical english ones but we loved it, the view from the breakfast room is spectacular.

“We loved staying at this small, family owned hotel and would definitely love to return!”
The Doma Hotel is one of the most interesting, historical buildings of Chania, filled with artefacts from the past century. There is even a free book about the house and its history available at reception. It is small, and family owned still, with friendly and attentive staff. The location is great, near enough to the centre to walk, and also near to a small sandy beach. The breakfast was great with a good choice of sweet and savoury typical Cretan foods.

The property was an amazing historic building full of historical photos and many antique items. It was a privilege to be welcomed into the family. Sea view was stunning.

“Historic, charming, authentic”
Loved this historic hotel full of stories, memorabilia and character. It has stayed true to its history in terms of feel and interiors. Wonderful position on Chania coastline - close to bars and restaurants and about 15 mins walk to Venetian Port area. Great to talk to staff about the history of the hotel and Crete itself.
