“Best Apartment, Best view”

The host Stavros was amazing, gave me and my husband good tips how to get around crete island, explained about where to go and catch buses etc. Taught us both how to make Greek food which was fantastic. The apartment (Stavros childhood home) is amazing. The view was exceptional, full view of the square and amazing just to sit on the balcony with a lovely glass of wine and people watch. We were very lucky on our last night to watch a Cretan dance festival and having a balcony view, (people looking up at us with envy) 😆 this made our holiday complete and gone back to the UK a very happy couple. I would definitely recommend Stavros apartment, we travel light, so this was fantastic that there is a washing machine also (very important for us both). Thankyou Stavros for your hospitality and we will definitely be back.

The property was absolutely beautiful. It was central in Chania and in my opinion the best location to be. The property was perfection, and it has every thing you could ever need and is immaculately clean. The quality of the bed linen and pillows etc are superb and extremely comfortable. All the facilities the crockery, plates,washing machine,everything is a very high standard and beautifully presented. The 2 bathrooms are very modern with lots of space and the shower is lovely and powerful. The balcony view is magical and I spent many many hours sat there drinking, eating, writing and people watching, and it’s even more beautiful to sit there first thing on a morning early before the town wakes up. The entire property , facilities and host are outstanding I cannot praise Stavros enough. And finally our host Stavros…… WOW what a wonderful, kind man he is. Stavros goes above and beyond to make your stay so special, his kindness and generosity , his stories about his life they are beautiful. Thank you Stavros so much we will be back to see you again x

“Picturesque balcony with amazing Stavios!”

Wow, what an amazing stay we were greeted at the beginning after a large travel day and given a great insight into both the place and also the town. We then got personalised reccomendations of all the places we should go that were tailored to us. The place was humongous we got to spread out but the most exciting part was the balcony, we spend every morning having breakfast and every night having a drink on the balcony and it made it so special, the bathrooms and bedrooms were all super clean. And to top this amazing stay off when we were leaving Stravios kindly got us both orange juices and helped us not only with the bus stop but helped us walk our bags down to the bus station which was so generous. What an amazing stay and it would not have been the same without staying at this amazing place!

Casa Irene is the perfect choice if you prefer your stay to be a bit more authentic than a modern hotel. The accommodation is spacious, in the middle of town, close to everything, beach is 15 min walk , view from balcony is gorgeous! Our host was fantastic, loads of information about Chania on our arrival. Would highly recommend! 😎😎

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Irene. The location is absolutely fantastic—close to everything we needed and perfect for exploring the area. But the true highlight of our stay was Stavros. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and his warm hospitality made us feel right at home. One thoughtful touch that stood out was having food already stocked in the fridge for us upon arrival, which made settling in so easy and stress-free. “Fantastic if you want to be in the centre of things in a very attractive and historic city.”

Situated above a busy pedestrian street with lots of shops and food outlets the apartment is on two floors and very close to the Venetian harbour and the old town of Chania. It has 2 bathrooms and the balcony looks out at an historic church and spacious square. The apartment has lots of character and is in a very central location.

Our stay at Casa Irene in Chania was magical from the moment we arrived. Stavros welcomed us with genuine Cretan hospitality and a beautifully kept home that felt both stylish & very cozy. The location was just perfect-nestled in vibrant old town & walking distance from Venetian harbor. The house itself was immaculate & thoughtfully decorated, with every detail carefully considered to make our stay comfortable. Mornings on the terrace with a cup of coffee & evenings under the stars (with wine 😀) were highlights of our days. Everything we needed was provided and Stavros went above & beyond to ensure we felt at home. Chania is a gem of a destination, & staying at Casa Irene made our experience all the more special. We left with full hearts, beautiful memories & a promise to return for sure. Highly recommended..!!

The location is fantastic, in the old town centre, close to the old port of Chania. The main bus station is 5 minutes walk away. It is a big apartment, lot of space. Savros (the host) was very very helpful: suggestions, and advices, and in the end he also offered a late check out. I would definitely recommend it and I would also go back to this nice, cozy place.

This place is fantastic in every possible way. Clean, spacious, in the most central location yet very quiet with no disturbance of sleep. An amazing balcony with a view of the orthodox church and square. Last but not least, a great host who is always willing to help and provide guidance. Thank you Stavros for everything!

Stavros went out of his way to meet us at 10pm and help us with the luggage taking it upstairs and when we left at 6am! So nice of him! He also was very generous leaving us lots of food , coffee, eggs etc in the fridge.
