Calle Veneziana is in the perfect location, to explore the old city, yet is within a walkable distance from the facilities of Chania town. It is full of character, comfortable and with a genuinely local, established and welcoming community. I loved the easy greetings I experienced every morning from neighbours out and about, walking their dogs, or simply going about their days. As a visitor, I loved the local tavernas within a minute's walk, particularly the one adjacent to the conservatory, allowing diners to enjoy a relaxed meal while enjoying a gentle musical soundtrack of live rehearsals. On a practical level, the furnishings and decor are gorgeous and every detail, from the coffee machines to the simple things, like salt, pepper and olive oil, are provided, along with laundry pods and even sun lotion.

Fantastic location. Beautifully clean and well presented house. Really great aircon. Welcome gifts were lovely. Manos was the perfect host. He was accessible and prompt in replying to our questions and attentive to our needs. The icing on the cake - Manos’ leaving gifts to us. So thoughtful.

Charming old Venetian style house in the heart of the old town which retains its neighbourhood feel as it hasn’t been over-modernised like most of Chania so it still has ‘heart’

- Great location in old town close to the port and city beach - Friendly host who helped with everything and made lots of presents - authentic building inside and outside with lots of interesting details - everything you need at the kitchen for cooking - air conditioner at every floor - Great roof terrace with sunbeds and umbrella - All the necessary equipment for daily routine: washing machine, iron, hair dryer, etc.

The house was charming and central. We found it easily and Manos was there to greet us. There were cold drinks in the fridge and he had also provided cake and something for breakfast. The air-conditioning was effective and the house was clean. We enjoyed the rooftop, where there were seats, sunbeds and also a stand for drying clothes. Manos was kind enough to order us a taxi and help us with our luggage to the main square. Thank you!

Beautiful, quirky property with one room on each floor - a traditional kitchen, a lovely double bedroom and a small additional double bedroom (with a non-horizontal floor!) which has the fantastic roof terrace attached (which is also a bit sheltered from the sun, particularly in the morning)

The house is spotlessly clean and located close to the sea and many superb restaurants. The host Manos is kind, extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions.

Everything about Calle Veneziana was just perfect. It's easy to see why it is so highly rated. It's a beautiful apartment in a great location, with charming decor and a very nice terrace. Manos was a fantastic host who took great care to make sure our stay was comfortable, and really thought of everything: maps, info, snacks, water, wine, even a beach umbrella that came in very handy. We could not have found a nicer place to spend our last 5 days in Crete to finish our perfect vacation. Thank you Manos!

Everything was really great, we had a lovely stay in this beautiful house. Close to everything and fully equiped, we didn’t miss anything. Manos is a great host and we can absolutely recommended this accomodation! Super!

“Brilliant location, hosted by a true Gentleman.”

So the first thing to note is that Manos (host) is an absolute gentleman. He is widely travelled and enlightened. It shows not only in his organisational skills but also in how he has set up the apartment, compact but efficient. The check-in was done methodically, step by step. I needed to park so he sent me a guided video on WhatsApp. After the smooth check-in, I noticed how clean everything was and the retro decoration (really tastefully done) really added to the mood. There was a lovely cake and drink to greet us. As an example of his kindness, I asked him where I could buy a particular brand of water I required, which we couldn't find in the local shops. He researched it and bought us an entire case of it. He wouldn't even take payment. I mean this was typical of Greek (Cretian) hospitality. They are really warm and friendly and Manos is a perfect example. Next is the location. Wow, how central can you get? Walk out and a quick 5-minute stroll through the atmospheric alleys ways take you to the port, harbour or shops, as required. You will not want to leave. In the evenings especially the atmosphere is great as the sounds of people echo off the buildings. The house itself is very comfortable and clean. The bed, mattress, pillows and sheets are excellent. There is AC and as a bonus, the washing machine was a lifesaver. The roof terrace has parasols, deck chairs etc and a clothesline to dry your clothes. The kitchen is well equipped, with a toaster, kettle and small hob. We had some nice breakfasts. Do check out the Souvlaki shop nearest the house and also the small supermarket behind which sells amazing fruit, honey and bread. I can't wait to return. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay @Manos
