“Delightful hotel in a prime location”

The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to be helpful. The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking the lake which we enjoyed from our balcony room and their splendid salon. A very nice breakfast and coffees at the hotel; they don’t serve dinner but there are several nearby restaurants - even though some were still closed until the summer season. Best of all, there was a lovely modern bathroom with a roomy and efficient shower, what a lovely treat!

This is a superb hotel on a stunning site opposite lac Chambon. We have been visiting this hotel for nearly 20 years so that must say something about the welcome, comfort and the friendly hosts. The rooms are immaculate and the beds comfortable. Parking is free in a private space adjacent to the hotel. We’ll be back again.

“Charming lake view hotel with above and beyond service”

Perfect lake front location, this is a beautiful hotel and we were charmed by the story of its history - passed down through generations and run by the great grand daughter of the original founder. Our attic room had a perfect view of the lake, and was cosy and comfortable. There was also an enourmous lounge for all guests to use - well stocked with books , games and sofas, and an incredible balcony view of the lake. The breakfast the next morning was in a lovely lake view room, very tasty, and the owner even boiled us an egg. We had nice interactions with the staff through out the day - but especially big thanks for helping us with transport to Aydat when we were stuck, asking a friend to give us a lift for a small fee when all taxi companies were out of commission. They went above and beyond to make our stay a great one - dont miss this place.

“Returned many times”

We have stayed at the Hotel Bellevue many times over the past 15 years and the welcome continues to be excellent. The young couple who run it are always at the top of their game and maintain a super hotel. The cleanliness and facilities are brilliant. Wi-Fi works well. The Local Authority have installed pay parking outside the hotel but the hotel have their own free parking a short distance away. The view of the lake from the rooms is one of the best anywhere.

“Beautiful setting and fascinating area”

The setting was great, just by the lake. I had a studio in the annex with a small kitchen area which was very handy. The hotel owner was very friendly and welcoming, the other staff also very pleasant. I took breakfast in the hotel one morning before using the facilities in the studio-very good and a good price. Although it was misty and rained quite a lot during my stay, nonetheless I managed to see several of the immediate volcanic ranges without travelling too far and there were lower level walks to do as well as visiting the nearby town and chateau of Murol. It was low season but several restaurants were open- although they closed quite early. It was a very enjoyable stay
