Overview
Located 5 km from the centre of Chambéry and 1 km from the A43 motorway, this ibis hotel offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi access. A 24-hour bar and snack service is available at the hotel. Guest rooms at the Hotel ibis Chambéry are simply decorated and equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Each room has an en suite bathroom and a hairdryer can be borrowed from reception. A buffet breakfast composed of sweet and savoury dishes such as eggs, fruit salad, yogurts and juices is served every day. Pastries baked on site and fresh French Madeleine cakes are also on offer, as well as a hot beverage and a piece of fruit to take away. Outside of regular breakfast hours guests can also enjoy a lighter option, available from 04:00. The restaurant serves dinner in the evening and meals can be enjoyed on the terrace during the summer months. The reception desk is open 24 hours a day and free newspapers are available in the lobby area. Additional facilities available include luggage storage and a free enclosed car park.

So close to the motorway (didn't hear any traffic noise once inside the hotel). Staff were lovely and efficient. Spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom.

“Excellent value for money and good positioning close to the motorway for onward travel”
We needed a place close to the motorway and the IBIS certainly provided that for us. On site parking was a great bonus. Excellent value for money. Good shower too

Booked to stay in this hotel for 6 nights. I arrived around 930pm, went up to my room It was quite hot I tried to put the air conditioning on but was unable to make it work so I went back down to reception and was told the AC was out for the building and it wouldn't be fixed for at least 8 days, I was then told just open my window if it's to hot. Went back to my room and opened the window but unfortunately the hotel is on a very busy main road that made it impossible to sleep with the window open. So the next day I checked out of the hotel and told them why and asked booking.com for a refund and was told the hotel refused to give me a refund even tho they had posted on booking.com that the rooms had air conditioning and it's up to the hotel if they will offer a refund I then questioned booking.com on how they can allow a hotel to not mention something like this then refuse a refund to witch I never heard back from booking.com. That's great customer service for you I guess
