Very comfortable bed, Great coffee machine Loved the quirky decor which carries on into the hotel which has a great restaurant. The location has got to be number 1 The Boulanger and patisserie are a few steps away including a great chocolate shop for gifts to take home.

It's a wonderful and very stylish apartment, very french indeed. Spacious, , very cosy and authentic with a bath which is a special advantage . The location is in the very heart of the town. The restaurant which belongs to the same owners as the apartment is so good that it deserves a Michelin star. The food is delicious, the service is superb. The Owner, a charming and very friendly as well as very efficient Lady makes your stay unforgettable. I strongly recommend this apartment and we will definitely come again. Merci beaucoup!

Breakfast is not included, which was fine. It was good to be in the centre of town and also Les Caudalies is an exceptional restaurant with incredibly good French food. Our hosts were very kind.

The location was superb and you could fall into the restaurant just outside. We had a dog so had our own apartment in the courtyard. It was quirky and plenty of space!the food was divine in the restaurant and not far to go back to the room.

The studio house on the property was absolutely charming. Decent sitting area, good-sized bathroom, lots of period features. The bedroom was amazing - 14 windows, and two comfortable beds. The hotel's restaurant was outstandingly good - not too expensive either - and in a lovely conservatory. Would absolutely go back here like a shot, particularly as Chalons-en-Champagne is a delightful town.

“Simply awful.”

Nothing. The hosts are arrogant and ungracious, and the whole place incredibly pretentious added to a lot of kitch. Our flat was rundown, and the impossibility of locking the door was put down to the building "being old". Descriptions of the premises are misleading: "view of the garden" is basically a view of a small patch in a corner of the inner courtyard (restaurant) covered by dirty astroturf and fake plants.... oh and an ancient dessicated Christmas tree... The food in the restaurant was mediocre at best, but with pretentious "haute cuisine" names on the menu. One good thing is that they do allow for dogs without extra charge, and our small and well travelled terriers were allowed to come.

Wow! The apartment is in a walled courtyard, moments walk from one of the town's main squares. The bed was very comfortable, and the many windows let in lots of natural light. Our welcoming and friendly hosts left a selection of madeleines and other treats, which were lovely with an espresso made using the bean to cup machine in the apartment. We were only having a stop over on our way across France, but couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Having had an explore, we decided to dine in the hotel restaurant, which makes use of the walled courtyard for dining. The food was simply outstanding, with great service from our hosts throughout.

The hotel is an historical building full of extremely interesting features. The hosts were lovely and the location absolutely perfect. Also the dinner was really good. I definetly reccomend this hotel in particular if you are looking for something a bit different and original.

Lovely old building, full of character. Great coffee machine and beans very kindly provided. Very thoughtful touches like chocolates and Madeleines. And thank you for accepting our dog Monty!
