“The best place on the carretera austral! Cosy jungle cabin”

This was the nicest place we stayed on the carretera austral. It was the only place where it felt like the owner had actually tried staying in the rooms to see what it needs. It has a beautiful jungle balcony, two bedside lamps (so rare but so useful) and the room was super cosy and clean and new and just was so relaxing. The sea against the pebbles was a relaxing sound to fall asleep to, too. Now the owner… what a fabulous guy! He was so fun and lovely and caring and he has the most delightful dog too. We would definitely come back!

A large cabin right by a beautiful beach, we could sit there for hours. Every time we went out, we saw seals or dolphins – amazing! The place is quiet and peaceful, yet close to the town. The host, Hector was fantastic – he lit the fire during cold days, helped us with learning Spanish, and when I got sick, he brought me honey and lemon for tea. And he has a very friendly dog, Mafalda 🫶 We highly recommend this place!

“It doesn't get much better than this.”

What a wonderful surprise it was for us to arrive -- after being soaked hiking in the rain forest - to a warm fire in the cabana. And as soon as we arrived, Hector rushed to the shores to see the dolphins feeding. It was as if he had conjured them up. Hector was an animated, engaging host that kept us laughing. The cabana was just steps away from the beach. We could actually see dolphins from our window. The place was done in very good taste and we felt extremely comfortable there.

This is an idyllic spot next to the water . We saw Orcas on our first evening from the beach right in front of the cabin . The cabin was basic but comfortable and the owner lit a fire for us every evening in the wood burning stove . Very relaxing place to stay and in easy reach of Chaiten and the walks of the Parque Pumalin .

“Dolfins, breakfast and the beaxh”

The location was amazing. We could hear the sea from our cabana. We saw 2 dolfins pass by as we were sitting on the bench on the beach. We had an amazing host who took really good care of us. Oh and the breakfast is amazing too!

The location, comfortable bed and it was clean. The wildlife was amazing, listening to Darwin’s frogs, watching dolphins, sea lions and eagles within 2 minutes from the accommodation was amazing.

“Brand new cabana”

Brand new cabana, very cozy. In the middle of the bush and 2 steps from a pristine and beautifull beach. A place to come back

“Wonderful setting and cosy cabin”

The location was outstanding. Took seconds to walk to our own beach overlooking passing dolphins, whales and sea-lions. Although the nights were cold, our host Héctor was brilliant at keeping us topped up with wood for our stove. Cosy and unique. Mafalda, the gorgeous dog, was also a brilliant host! Would certainly return if we visited the area again.

Absolute stunning location, amazing owner! He is in the process of building a communal area/kitchen for all the self catering guests which should be finished in the next week. Saw dolphins and seals swimming by on our doorstep ❤️

“Magical, friendly, warm with lots of wildlife.”

The location was superb. On the edge of the forest on the edge of the sea. Lots of wildlife - dolphin, sealion, penguin, black-necked swans. Hector, the owner, met us and lit the fire. He is very friendly. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed.

“Best stay in Chaitén”

Lovely and quiet location near the sea. Nature, dolphins, sea lions, volcano, it is all there. Hector is a kind host. He brought clean towels after 2 nights and made a fire upon request for us. Good bed, nice shower.

Right by the beach, yet tucked away in the forest - the best of everything. We saw seals, swans, penguins and dolphins close to the shore minutes after arriving. We were simply stopping over for one (very wet) night in Chaitén before catching a ferry, but Hector - our host - was so welcoming, lit a fire and made the cabin super cozy. It turned into one of our most memorable stays. Thank you!
