“Wonderful stay in Chachapoyas”

My partner and I arrived from Mancora very early in the morning. After this long bus journey, Guillermo received us hours before our check-in and even gave us breakfast. When we left (again with a night bus), he also let us check out late - which we really appreciated. The breakfasts here were really amazing (actually it was the best breakfast we had on our whole trip). Guillermo and his sister were really kind and lovely hosts. The room was perfect, there is a great view of Chachapoyas from the top balcony and a beautiful garden. We even saw a sword-billed hummingbird from here! We really loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to others!

The people there are super friendly and the breakfast was sooo good. They let us check in early since we arrived with the night bus and even made us breakfast. When we went to Cocachimba for a few days they let us store our big backpacks without hesitation.

“Warm place run by local family”

The hosts are very nice and attentive, the breakfast was homemade, very tasty and good quantity. The place is simple but beautiful and welcoming. We didn't share much time with them but they try to share some time with the guests, maybe have a drink or a cake in the evening. It's also located close to one of the main colectivo terminals where you depart for all the day-trip visits in the area.

“Fantastic value and the best hospitality in Peru!”

I totally loved my stay here. Guiltor and his lovely sister who have opened their family home to guests are the most delightful people I have met so far. The Hospedaje is only 8 minutes walk from the centre . There is a a really nice courtyard and the views over the town towards the hills are spectacular. But it’s their hospitality that shines… superb breakfasts.. plenty and something local and different every morning.. it really fills you up..and if you don’t finish your place they have something to say about it..in the nicest hospitable way! Stay here it’s wonderful!

Extremely warm hosts and a delicious breakfast. Guillermo and his sister are amazing people that from the first moment made us feel welcome! The shared spaces are filled with plants and breakfast each day is made with love and organic ingredients. Room is spacious and clean! All in all very good stay!!

I love all about it. The house is spacious with wonderful views. The breakfasts are simply outstanding and the hosts look after their guests so well.

Amazing views from every floor of the property over Chachapoyas. The host, Guillermo, is so sweet and helpful and makes a mean brekkie. Incredible value for money with beautiful clean rooms and an extremely reasonable price.

Excellent hosts. Delicious breakfast. All was wonderful except one minor irritation which the hotel couldn't help. The dogs in the neighbourhood barked constantly, all through the night. Chachopoyas need to do a cull.

We had a great stay! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and our room with a shower was comfortable. There is hot water—you just need to know how to turn it on properly. The price-quality ratio is excellent, making this a great choice for a stay in the area!

“An amazing find”

The hostel is very close to the centre, the ETSA bus terminal, and a few blocks from the Plaza Independence. This family run hostel is still in development, but the finished rooms are lovely. The room had a door to the corridor and another to the shared balcony, where there were chairs and a coffee table. In the bedroom there was a double bed, bedside table on one side and a stool on the other. There was a table and a chair and a unit for storage. There was a light switch next to the bed. The accommodation is entered by a locked metal gate. This opens to a large courtyard, which is where breakfast is served. The entire property is clean, and wifi is excellent throughout. Breakfast is provided. This is exceedingly good. We were offered tea or coffee, freshly made fruit juice, and then a different breakfast meal every day. This was normally a traditional Peruvian breakfast from frIed egg, cheese, advacado, or chicken sandwiches. Eggs, scrambled or frIed, with bread. Humitas and Tamales, as well as traditional vegetables were also cooked for us. We were even given a massive plate of pancakes one morning. If any, there was too much food, we struggled to eat it all. The owners have installed a new kitchen, which is still being stocked with equipment. There is a freezer, a two ring stove top, a sink for washing up, etc. There are plenty of plates, pans and some basic kitchen equipment and cutlery. It was slightly lacking in both kitchen knives and eating knives. However, there was sufficient equipment to cook a meal. The kitchen also has a table and two chairs. There is a large sink area to hand wash clothes and plenty of washing lines. There was a separate bin for food waste to be recycled in the kitchen. But no other recycling facilities. The owners were wonderful. Exceedingly friendly and very generous. When we arrived, we were offered coffee.

The attention from the owners, the location, the room, the view, the price, the breakfast, everything was perfect. Specially the breakfast was great.

Loveliest hosts ever, Guilermore and Lola. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed (with a small plate of dinner even, which they didn't have to, but showed their generosity and kindness!). We were also invited to spend Christmas with them and it was such a great experience. Our room was comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfast that was different everyday!

We love this hotel! The nicest owners ever! lovely breakfast, every day different, the best hotel breacfast we had in Peru during 2 months traveling! Super clean rooms and and beautiful views from balconies and dining area. Highly recommend. The owner allowed us to check in earlier and check out later due to our BUS time which was super helpful. Socest in every room, entire hotel was recently refurbished so looks very new.

One of the best accomodations in south america so far. The breakfast was prepared with lots of love and we got served something different every morning. The bed was so comfortable and everything was very clean. We even got a balcony with view over the city. When we arrived at 07:00 am we could check in directly and even got breakfast. Its a 10min walk to the main plaza
