I didn't like the fact that I booked the room to stay the night of my daughter's 18 th dinner and drinks .I booked in advance tho when I arrived to checkin ii was then informed there was no room for me as I lived in the local area .

Clean and tidy

The staff accommodated us in arriving early to dress for a wedding. Much appreciated.

Close to vineyards etc. Easy access to shopping centres.The venue has a modern restaurant, with an old fashioned front bar where all the local characters hang out. It has a lot of the original Edwardian interiors in place.

The bathrooms was so clean and also the shower was nice and warm. It is a good benefit cost

The room was awesome, plenty of space, and the bed was comfy. The ensuite was beautiful and spacious.

Room was basic but well priced. Lovely old hotel with refurbished beer garden. Pizzas and cocktails were nice so we enjoyed our stay.

“Initial booking was cancelled by venue, deposit not refunded despite being informed it would be.”

My initial booking, which I had paid a deposit for, was cancelled by the venue or booking.com, without prior communication. I rebooked and paid for the new room in full, and was told after enquiring that my initial deposit would be refunded, as it was a processing error that they did not see the payment go through (as confirmed by email from booking.com) I have made multiple attempts to make contact to secure my refund but have not heard back from the venue or booking.com. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great food and nice dining area.

Clean and comfortable extremely good value and their restaurant food was fantastic. They also had a good range of vegetarian dishes on the menu.

The rooms had a very unusual smell - quite musty, but the balcony area off our rooms was incredibly dirty with ash trays and empty glasses and visitor rubbish laying around. A small bar fridge with cold water in each room would have been nice, as you had to take the glass water jug to the toilets to fill up for fresh water.

Some bar staff were lovely. And highly rate the cleaner who let us out of the car park early morning Sunday as it was locked overnight and no one advised us of this. Not ideal for travelling parties.

Rooms older but clean and comfortable. Downstairs bar open till 2am but rooms were quiet. Staff were great and check in and check out easy.

The staff and locals were great. The manager also, was great and took the time to listen to a former publican. Great beer and really good food, thanks to all the kitchen staff and the cellar man. The bed was comfy.
