“A totally lovely place to stay - completely recommended”
Comfortable, large, graceful apartment; really nicely decorated; amazing view from roof terrace; beautiful views from all the rooms over the Tuscan hills; felt like home immediately; great heating/hot water in a medieval building. Apartment with roof terrace has a big double bed, two single beds in a lovely low beamed room (watch your head!) and another two single beds on the next floor, from which you reach the roof terrace. This upper room is reached by a completely vertical staircase, like a built in ladder. Certaldo is a fantastic place to stay - reach the upper, old part of town where this apartment is by funicular railway for 1.50 return. Take the train from the lower, newer part of town to Florence and Siena, all within an hour.
