“Perfect tranquil place with amazing host”

Amankaya is the perfect tranquil spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Atitlan lake. The host went beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We loved our time there and are still dreaming about it! We definitely recommend staying here.

“Had a fantastic stay!”

I loved my stay at Amankaya! I stayed for 6 nights in one of the rooms and basically had the entire property to myself. Fernando lives upstairs of the main house and is around if you have any questions or want someone to chat with. My room was comfortable and everything was clean and very well maintained. Kitchen was great and had everything I needed. I purchased a bag of groceries before coming and used those for the week. There was also items for breakfast every morning - sometimes I cooked it myself and sometimes it was made for me. There was a nice selection of items like eggs, orange juice, bread, fruit, yoghurt and cereal. There was also enough water for the week so that I didn't have to bring my own. I worked remotely while I was there and the Wifi worked great, even for many on camera meetings. The hot tub was great on some chilly nights. There are kayaks available to use however they're for 2 people so good to use as long as you're not solo. There is a very nice dog and cat on the property - they mostly keep to themselves. Overall the view is incredible. I could sit and stare at the lake all day and there are hammocks down on the dock to chill on.

“Fantastic!”

Fantastic place for retreat and relaxation. A really quiet spot in Lake Atitlan. Fantastic swimming direct from the property. Super helpful owner who lives on site. I went alone, and had a fantastic week of solitude - just what I needed. But it would also be great for a group holiday - plenty to keep you entertained - swimming, kayaking, pool and tabletennis as well as the garden, and just watching the gorgeous view!

Beautiful private home location among native farms. Delightful 20-min walk on farm trail to local grocery store. Bi-lingual host was always available and a big help in coordinating lake-boat service to and from the house.

“Amazing stay”

Had the perfect stay here, so much so we even extended! There was a great variety of places to sit and admire the incredible view, fantastic facilities and the water was lovely and clean. Fernando was a very friendly host, thank you for our stay!

My stay there was absolutely amazing. The house is very complete with facilities and extremely clean. They were very helpful and supportive with helping me arrive at the house even though I chose to take the longer and more complicated route. Nothing to complain about at all. If I ever go back to Atitlán one day, I will definitely need to drop by again! The house is pretty secluded so you do need to take some food to cook. If you’re underprepared like me, there is a small shop a 20-minute walk away where you can get some essentials.
