We could not stay there as it was closed. We had no where to go, so drove on to Domme and found a nice place that was open there

“Warm Welcome and Delicious Local Dining”
A very nice hotel — clean, spacious, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Checking in and out was very easy. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is highly recommended, serving delicious local dishes. We would happily stay here again.

“Good base to tour the region but check if you can eat.”
We spent 3 nights at La Traverse. A prime reason for staying there was that its restaurant (which had good reviews) was open for 2 of of our nights. It is a popular restaurant with locals and you are supposed to book. Staying at the hotel gave me the false impression that we could just wander into the dining room. No, it was full. In the end we ate at a table in the reception area. The food was good. But the next night - despite what it said on Booking - its restaurant was closed. We ate at a Thai restaurant 10 minutes walk away. Our final night the restaurant was also closed and so was the Thai place and indeed every restaurant in town.. We were forewarned about this so bought a pizza while we wandered round Sarlat and ate that cold in our room.

“Brilliant overnight stay in an iconic part of France, so close to the River Dordogne and Domme.”
A very pleasant small hotel with a genuine boutique feel. Very friendly staff and a wonderful good value restaurant serving cuisine based on the best local produce. Free and large car park directly opposite the hotel. Great stay in a wonderful area of France. Highly recommended!

“Great convenient hotel”
We had a great stay. Decent size room, comfy beds and a restaurant downstairs. There was no A/C but there was a large fan and if you keep the shutters shut then there is no noise inside from the road outside.
