“This was a lovely location, we loved the peace and quiet.”

The location was amazing! We appreciated being right on the beach, and having chairs, loungers and towels provided. It was lovely being able to walk to the small shopping area and down the beach.

I loved the place, the location was perfect, amazing beach front, was very clean and the personel was super helpful. Very grateful that we chose this place to stay in Celestun. Thank you very much for your hospitality :) for sure we will be back!

Awesome location 3 blocks from square. Comfortable furniture. On beach. Very safe and secure (walled & gated) house.

What you get with La Chozita del Mar is direct access to a stunning, swimmable sandy coastline that stretches for miles in both directions. You share the beach with fishermen casting their nets in the mornings, flocks of pelicans and other seabirds, and a few local families picnicking on the weekends. (Yes, there is an unattractive security fence, but we just opened the gates and sat outside it.) If you want cafés, bars, and so forth, it’s a ten minute walk along the road or the beach. There is traffic noise from the road, but you don’t notice it on the beach side of the house. The house is spacious and clean, with air-con in the bedroom and good plumbing, but somewhat lacking in kitchen equipment and linens. We didn’t care, and expect if you contacted the owner he would provide whatever more you felt you needed. He was very responsive when he thought we had a problem with something. We had an issue with checking in because the only contact is by Internet/Whatsapp, and our phone plan didn’t work with Telcel, the only provider in Celestún.

“Great Sunset Place”

Stunning location, very helpful owners . The sunsets and great for a swim. The inside is basic but functional and we had a great 5 days. Check out the boat trips to see the flamingoes and the nature reserve.

“Good beach side house”

It was very hot inside but fortunately had an AC bedroom and a nice sitting area under trees. A very basic house but had most things necessary for a stay of several days. Limited cookware made preparing meals difficult. The saving grace of this place is its proximity to the beach as one could be in the water in a matter of moments. For us this was paramount as there was heat wave with extreme temperatures.

To have a house for ourselves. Access to the beach.

“A really basic place perfectly located.”

We were here for 5 days. The location to town and restaurants and on the beach was excellent. There were lots of plastic chairs for using in the home, on the patio and on the sand. There were 5 keys to lock doors, driveway and gate to beach. Most of the furnishings were new or newly refreshed so it was quite clean albeit very bare. Airconditioning in the one bedroom worked well. Fans all worked. Kitchen had utensils and dishes and several pans. Fridge was new and large.
