We were happy to be the first New Zealanders to stay at Pia and Nikolai’s lovely masseria. It is about a 5 minute drive from Ceglie Messapica which is a gorgeous authentic town to visit. The masseria provides a lovely breakfast, a very nice swimming pool and it is relaxing place to spend some time.

Beautiful house in quiet place, nice swimming poll with sunbeds, nice view on nearby city Ceglie. Sun umbrellas available if you want go to the beach. The Lady, who owns the house, showed us her nice garden and gave us some vegetables. Perfect place for rest.

We had the best time in this beautiful farm house. Hosts have been so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. They were very flexible with our checkin and checkout times, especially having a 2year old this was so appreciated. The little kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was so comfortable. Pool was amazing in the middle of the olive trees. All the staff felt like family after day 1. We did day trips to the beach each day and to restuarants in local town, the location was perfect. Highly recommend this place and hope to be back one day.

We spent 9 nights in this beautifully restored and beautifully kept masseria in the gorgeous town of Ceglie Messapica ( 3/5 minutes drive to the old town). An oasis of peace a short drive away to all the other Valle d’Itria beautiful towns ( Ostuni, Cisternino, Martina Franca, Alberobello) with a fabulous pool to cool down after a day of sightseeing! Wonderful owners and staff , who, with an incredible knowledge of the area, have the best recommendations for restaurants, beaches and sightseeing! Signora Pia thank you for making us feel soo welcome and special in your beautiful masseria . And thank you Annapia for the many coffees you were making for us in the morning! Great host, goes out of her way to make sure you have the perfect stay. Nice big pool. Walking distance to Ceglie, with a lot of options for dinner.

“Absolutely wonderful stay!”

The location was great just a few minutes drive into Ceglie Messapica, about a 30 min walk into the middle of town. The pool was gorgeous, I am a swimmer and it was 15 metres long so great to swim in. The apartment was lovely ~ exactly as the pictures. The hosts were wonderful, very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. I am gluten-free and they put out choice of gluten-free items for me every day and Pia made a gluten-free orange cake from the marmalade she makes from the oranges in the garden which was delightful. Breakfast consisted of bread, ham, cheese, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, boiled eggs so plenty of choice.

Masseria Montecchie is really well located, only about 1km from the attractive town of Ceglie, although the road is quite busy so best to drive at night (no footpath). Views are fabulous across the hills and towards the town. Our room was very clean, with an effective shower and a firm but comfy bed with good linen. We had a lovely welcome from the hostess on arrival who despite not speaking any English (and we don't speak Italian!) was very friendly and introduced to the breakfast hostess who spoke good English. The pool was perfect for a proper swim, large and that didn't leave you smelling of chlorine! Breakfast was comprehensive with home-grown fruit and local jam.

The originality of the property, simply but elegantly furnished, high ceilings, lovely views, great location, beautiful pool, helpful staff and the most gracious host, Signora Pia. We felt privileged to stay in her lovely home.

We chose this place because of the good reviews and it even exceeded our expectations. We really liked the location, the quietness, and the staff was very polite. We sincerely recommend this Masseria.

My husband and I have loved absolutely everything about Masseria Montecchie! The staff is very available, and gave us a few recommendations for restaurants to try in the village. All the restaurants were simply amazing. The breakfast is great, with some local and home made products (orange marmalade by far our favorite one). We felt very relaxed, as the grounds are amazing. It is everything you need for a few days, or a week of complete relaxation in the best location.

The Masseria located in the beautiful place 5 minutes from the city (by car) The territory has everything you need to enjoy calm and authentic atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and extra clean.
