“Unless the facilities change, I wouldn't stay there again”
It took 3 rooms when checked in before i got a room. One room wan't even cleaned, one the air didn't work, then the 3rd room i just decided to stay there even though I wasn't satisifed. The paint in the bathtub was coming off so didn't look good at all but i was tired and didnt' want to ask for another room

“Not terrible for the money but you get what you pay for.”
Was obvious the property was going thru a transition. Hope they can bring it back to the highly rated hotel it once was. The RIO in Vegas is going thru the same thing but they are spending the money to completely renovate it. Wasn't seeing much renovation being done in Cedar Rapids. Trust me when I say they have their work cut out for them.

“Decent stay”
Staff was friendly and that’s why i gave it a 10. This place is overdue for a remodel. I didn’t do much in the hotel because the lobby area where people should Be gathering with a bar and restaurant was closed the whole time. Granite it was Thanksgiving but that’s a time to stay in the hotel and it would have been nice. Also it was hard for your skeleton staff to bring me towels so it was an inconvenience having to grab them myself. Just a few things but overall great stay.

I did not eat breakfast, but did have food at the conference. I think a #1 no no on food is you never put condiments on food. Lots of people do not like condiments. We had a wrap for lunch and it had either mayo or dressing and veggies mixed in it. I did not eat the box lunch. :(. Its a long day with no lunch., Lunch: Wrap, apple, and fritos :(. I would except better from the Marriott. ( Maybe a meat chees sandwich on good bread, cut up fruit, and a side salad of some kind. Good: Front desk friendly, place was very clean, and room was spacious.
