Within the high hedges of this unremarkable village house is this absolute gem of a B&B. Super comfortable bed, stylish bathroom, spotlessly clean. Run by really friendly couple, both ex-chefs, who use their skills to provide breakfasts like you’ve never had before (amuse-bouche, need I say more?). Do they award Michelin stars for breakfasts…?

Where do I start! Such a warm welcome from Chris and Chris. It felt like we were staying with friends in a beautiful home. The room was everything you would want; comfortable bed, leather sofa, TV with internet, en-suite bathroom with his and hers sinks, huge walk in shower and heated towel rail. All in modern design and of course, spotlessly clean. Then we had a huge lounge for our personal use during our stay with fridge, tea / coffee making facilities open fire and another tv or a bookshelf to browse. What more could you want? Well throw in hosts who make the most beautiful food. Home made jams and home made sourdough bread was just the start. Chris used all his skill from a career in haute cuisine to make gourmet breakfasts that out perform what I have been presented in 5 Star hotels. Fresh ingredients from local farmers, amazing. Chris and Chris were full of information on the local area. When we left after two days, we felt like we were leaving friends and wished we had stayed longer. Please stay here, you will not regret it. Thank-you Chris and Chris.

“Vacation in a fairy tale”

A dream cottage in a village in Normandy, a couple with big, kind hearts who welcomed us into their beautiful home with so much love. Impeccably clean, an extremely comfortable bed, a huge bathroom with a massive shower and a lot of wonderful details that filled our hearts with joy. A cozy living room with an English charm was at our disposal, along with a yard full of birdsong, the scent of aromatic herbs, and a view like a professional photo of Mont Saint-Michel. And such peace and quiet. In a way, we felt better than at home—we felt like we were living in an incredibly beautiful story. The two Chrises won our hearts with their kindness and generosity. We had a warm and nourishing evening, chatting and sharing life stories, music, emotions, and laughter with them and their friend Nina. The breakfast Chris prepared was absolutely sensational—truly royal. We even joked that we doubted King Charles gets such a breakfast. They guided us to two local restaurants for dinner, where we could taste excellent dishes and enjoy the energy of the locals. I loved everything about staying at Rue Veillon. The owners of the property, Chris and Chris, are the loveliest, most kind, generous and fun people. We left as firm friends. We felt like the property was home as we were made so welcome. The room was lovely, the shower the best ever but a special mention must be made about the incredible 4 or 5 course breakfasts. The owners are chefs and the love and care they put into the breakfasts was so special.

The breakfasts were of a high standard and the hosts, Chris and Chris, accommodated my allergies. They recommended local restaurants and provide plenty of local advice. Chris and Chris are fabulous hosts, easy to have a conversation with right away, and they have a lot of excellent advice to visit the surroundings. Mt Saint Michel is just 10 minutes away, yet our stay was super calm. And the breakfast! Absolutely amazing and made fresh daily with a passion that shows Chris & Chris' commitment to make their guests feel at home. I can only highly recommend staying there and would look to book again myself if I'm in the region.

A very nice and comfortable accommodation, highly recommendable. Not far from Mont St Michel, which was accessible in 5 minutes drive. A quite neighborhood and lovely countryside, We had an excellent view to Mont St. Michel from the garden and one of the most amazing sunsets. The hosts were just amazing, nice, friendly, giving excellent tips for restaurants and sightseeing, someone you wish to see again. We would love to go back and will recommend it to all our friends wishing to visit Normandy. One more thing: the breakfast was unbelievable royal, simple, tasty, rich and...royally luxurious.
