We did not have a good experience at the Katapa Special Cave Hotel. The staff were indifferent to our needs and provided poor service. However, the hotel is located in a peaceful and charming village but not close to Goreme. If you want to go to Goreme, you have to take a taxi or a public bus which passes every 20 minutes, which was not a problem for us. While the hotel includes breakfast in their services, it is only served at 9 a.m., which is inconvenient for guests participating in tours that start at the same time. During our two-night stay, we missed breakfast both mornings. On our first morning, we had an early hot air balloon ride followed by a red tour starting at 9 a.m. When we returned and requested coffee or tea, the staff simply said no and that no one was available. The room menu was unhelpful as there was never anyone around to take orders. On our last morning, we requested an earlier breakfast since our driver was picking us up at 8:30 a.m. to go to the airport. The staff refused, stating breakfast was only at 9 a.m. The view of the hot air balloon from the terrace was surreal but considering the price, you can find better service with the views at another hotel.
