We decided after 3 weeks travelling from Greece, Albania, Montenegro to Croatia to stay 2 days longer in Cavitat. Our hotel could not accommodate us so we looked elsewhere. As last minute we found Apt Fenix.We didnt read the reviews properly. It's hot in Croatia end of July so AC was a given choosing accommodation. We arrived and was met by a gentleman. The apt is outdated which is fine as we were only stying 2 nights. 1.Holes one metre long in the curtains allowing light in. 2. Terrace large no table. 3. Electric sockets loose and I actually would not allow anyone to charge phones overnight. However these were only minor compared to the AC situation. We arrived to the top apt on the third flight of stairs. Stifling hot. We put the AC which was only one unit in l the iving area of two bedroom apt on and came back one hour later. AC was turned off??? There was a poster on the wall stating the unhealthy risks of AC.That night AC was on but was not enough. Our kids were complaining of headaches and all of us unwell. I saturated wet towels with cold water and spread them over all our beds to cool down It was sweltering. No one slept. The following day we realised that only half of the one unit was working. I read other reviews and other guests had complained about this previously and still wasn't fixed one year on. It is highly woorryibg that a person who would allow a family with children to stay in such place knowingly being aware of it. We are a well travelled family who stay in both high and lower end accommodation depending on various variables. This was not just unsatisfactory but unsafe and cruel to keep a family there. It was for two nights as we were flying home but any longer we would have left.

The view from the balcony and the location in general are fantastic. Compared to others it was reasonably priced and the apartment is as described and as seen on the pictures. Quite dated interior but works well for a family trip.

“Really nice place, better than Dubrovnik!!”
All was perfect!!! Really nice views, everything was perfectly clean, quite close to the small cute town of cavtat and kind hostess who even though she didn’t speak a word in English, she was very kind with us.
