Absolutely amazing apartment in a small, family-run complex that immediately won us over with its magnificent views, large pool, and friendly, generous hosts. We were far enough from the main roads to avoid the dust and sweat of the thousands of tourists, but close enough to Pompei and the Amalfi Coast that our day-trips there were a breeze. A slice of paradise we were sad to leave behind.

“A pocket of Paradise”

We as a family of 5, stayed here for 6 nights and loved this quiet little paradise. Two sisters Maria & Ida and their Mum run this beautiful place. They were very attentive and wanted to help in any way they could. Ida ordered us pizza the first night to be delivered as we were tired after the flight. The next morning, they made us cappuccinos and ordered us lovely Croissants to eat by the pool. They offered to do our grocery shopping as well! The roads are steep up to the villa, and note there are two routes in from Cava di'Tirreni, one road is less steep. *You do need to hire a car to stay here* It is so peaceful and not many people around. Cava de'tirreni town is worth a visit. Locals are all so friendly & welcoming. The town has lots of shops and nice to relax in and not as overpricedas the main tourist spots. There are a few local restaurants in the hills really worth trying. "Protea" was worth a visit very close by and also La Piazzetta. A special mention to the lovely friendly chilled French bulldog "Boss" who we all loved to pet and say Hi to daily in Villa Fernanda.

Excellent position of the house, best view on the surrounding hills and sea, beautifull garden, lemon trees and olives, and the pretty large swimming pool surrounded by this garden. Perfect location for excursions to Amalfy coast. Very close, but away of crowd, on the top of the hill.

The location was stunning and the apartment and communal areas exactly as described. Our hosts were exceptional, we couldn’t have been more welcomed. We were met at the station and escorted to the Villa via the supermarket for supplies at no extra charge. Accommodation is self catering. There are no restaurants or bars in walking distance. We chose to use public transport rather than hire a car and found the buses quick, cheap and reliable. There is a bus stop right outside the Villa and buses run from early morning to late at night. Cava de’ Terreni is a nice town with a railway station. Trains are regular and reliable and fares are cheap.

Perfect quiet location with amazing views from both the room, balcony and pool. We loved the privacy and quiet of the area and the fact of there only being a few guests at a time while also being only a 10 minute drive from the town. The hosts Ida and Maria were also extremely welcoming, available for any queries and put you at ease, always ready to help with anything that we were missing. Beautiful big pool open when we went in late September and we had it all to ourselves. Lots of amazing places to eat in the town 10 minutes away and good road connections to see Pompeii and Naples and go to Salerno to get ferries for Amalfi coast. Apartment has everything you need, hosts also provided us beach towels on request and provided new sheets and towels after 4 days (we stayed for 9). Wifi worked great in the apartment not just the communal areas, check in was also very flexibile, we arrived at 8pm and left 7am and it was no problem.

We were nicely welcomed to Villa Fernanda. The host arrived in town to pick us up. Host, Ida, was really friendly and helpful. The star of the location is the pool and the beautiful view from the mountains. Villa Fernanda is also quite easily accessible with public transport (once an hour there is a bus connection to town, ride only takes 8 min).
