The hotel is located in a small village that is about 3k away from downtown Cava de' Tirreni. Normally, there's a bus (Number 6) that takes you from the town centre (train station) to the hotel. But we visited during Christmas period, so had to organise taxi pick-up/drop-off. Staff were super friendly and helpful to get things organised for us. Breakfast was good, not the most "luxury" but you do have everything you need, and coffee & pastires were amazing! There is a swimming pool but it's not heated, so it was closed during our visit. If you're staying at this hotel, you must pay a visit to La Trinità della Cava, which is located a short walk away. The interior is truly breathtaking! Apparently it was funded in the 11th century!!! We even attended the Christmas eve mass with the locals!

“Nice stay”

If you have a larger car, you'll be directed to different car park (3 min walk). Breakfast was actually pretty good. The hotel has a little bit of age to it, and you can feel it whilst staying there, but overall it is good place to stay.

The space is quite large, and the scenery outside the mountains is nice.

The service during dinner was very friendly and professional. The food was good. The garden and room were beautiful.

Location was great to escape the tourists 😉 the vast grounds and nearby walking trails, restaurants in nearby small villages were lovely. The staff were fabulous and we will visit yet again.

An impressive beautiful hotel with a history of being owned by one family since 1821. The staff were polite, and the room was comfortable with vintage furniture. There are two parking lots, but be aware that the one right next to the hotel is small and paid. To drive right up to the hotel, be prepared to go through a narrow entrance. The grounds are very beautiful and well-kept, and the terrace offers a view of the mountains. We didn't use the pool, the weather was already cool.

The food was amazing, definitely pulled the overall experience up, restaurant staff were superb, morning reception man was fantastic

The location was lovely. The outdoor space, terrace and views. Nice walk from the door. Bus to the town and train station.

Beautiful hotel with incredible views

We had a truly lovely stay at Hotel Scapolatiello. The care and attention from all of the staff was excellent throughout our visit – nothing was too much trouble. The setting is beautiful, the atmosphere so welcoming, and everything was done to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We are already planning a return visit soon!

“Great visit, would love to come back”

We absolutley loved our stay here! The views were amazing, the restaurant was simply stunning and the staff (particularly francesco) were so lovely. He even dropped us to salerno to make our onward journey. I also reccomend going to the jazz sandwich shop right outside the hotel if you fancy getting out. Delicious sandwiches and the shop owner is great too. Overall a great spot and would love to come back.

The facilities.and the extensive grounds and fantastic view from our room terrace. Close enough to drive the Amalfi coast without staying in the mad crowded towns.

“Good old fashioned hotel like sleeping next to Poirot and Agatha Christy”

Perfect but the chairs in the balcony should be replaced, they were distributed and I could not sit. The place loved it and be careful not to follow googles directions and go infrond of the reception because you might get stuck inside the village

Friendly staff and the restaurant is super good, both for breakfast and dinner. The hotel have nice views, garden and pool. In a overall we had a good time there and enjoyed the 2 days we stayed.
