Overview
Set on its own private beach, Villaggio Turistico Europeo is 10 km from Catania. It offers a Sicilian restaurant, an outdoor pool and classically furnished bungalows. Beautiful beach, close to the airport but not no close (not noise), very kind and helpful staff. The room is Basic but has everything what is necessary (A/C, fridge, cosy bad, etc).

The resort was amenable and secure, well appointed and well designed. It was very good value and very clean and tidy. A lovely little resort. Lovely people and really very wholesome, good quality, wonderful food appropriate to the climate and location. Accommodation was provided in comfortable chalets and well appointed bungalows, all with private facilities, Air-conditioning and fridges of a good standard. WiFi capable and dependable electrics in the rooms fitted with decent TVs. The plumbing worked well; faultless showers and reliable ablutions. Beaches are patrolled by “Bay-Watch” lifeguards. It is noteworthy that all of the guests seemed to be having a very, very good time with few complaints all universally enjoying themselves enormously.

Good location and beach was easily accessible. Signs to direct to certain areas. Bar was nice with a nice breakfast daily. Plenty parking spaces.

“Not bad if you are traveling for the sea only”
The stay was pleasant. I loved the fact that once you open the back door of your bungalow you are already on the beach. The stuff was really nice to us, breakfasts were free — you could take a coffee or a cappuccino, any kind of a fresh baken croissant, plus a cake or a pie and a jogurt. I'm used to that kind of Italian breakfast, so for me it was quite good. The other food at the restaurant was also nice — lasagna, pizza, pasta and often some seafood for a reasonable price. There were clean bedsheets, brand new mattresses and perfectly clean white towels. They also gave us one shampoo/body gel per person, so you might want to take your own toiletry with you, but the water pressure in the shower was strong and that's a good thing. The bathroom was a bit small, but otherwise clean and enough to fit one person. Almost all of the staff knows a little English, and that's a plus, too. There are a lot of cats at the property, so you might want to share your food with them, I personally loved them :)

Staff were friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was good. Amazing simple cabin right on the beach and close to the town. Wonderful chili plants and cacti in the gardens, clean rooms and clean communal areas
