Such a great place to get out of the city and relax. 10mins walk to the supermarket (crossing a busy road). 15 mins taxi ride from the centre as we didn’t want to hire a car. Had full access of the garden, pool and annex. Our host could not have been any friendlier Grazi assai, Massimo!

“A perfect Sicilian retreat”
From the minute we arrived we could not have been so well looked after. The family are delightful.Massimo, the son , spoke a little English and took me to buy food the 1st day.Mama made a delicious cake! The home is an absolute retreat,the gardens oozing old times,history, the pool,so cooling. The annex where we stayed ,old,rustic,comfy.clean(yes a bit tired,but hey ho ) and perfect for a week if R n R. It has air con,washing machine,dishwasher washer,but I felt I was in a time warp. Absolutely recommend this beautiful home.It is on the edge of Catania, so an hourly bus(2e) takes you in to town.( we used taxis 25e). I would be happy just staying in the gardens all day ,every day. I will be back , to do Absolutely nothing but relax and recover! Thank you family .

Villa Rubino in Catania Sicily which is available to rent , is unique. The gardens are beautiful with quirky little areas to explore , several seating areas to catch the sun and a crystal blue pool . The bbq area was great for relaxing lunches. Twinkly lighting just about everywhere is so atmospheric. Birds sing in the surrounding trees so peaceful and beautiful little pots explode with colour . The owner was charming and we had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommended 👍🏼 #villarubino

“Big beautiful villa”
We enjoyed our stay at Villa Rubino. Massimo was very welcoming. We were only there for 3 days. Wish we could have stayed longer. The pool was so big you can swim laps. There were 2 bedrooms, one was very big. The yard was very big, there was a beautiful large outdoor table.

* The owner/family who lives on site were very nice, sweet people. * Be aware that this is a very large family home and it's not technically 'the whole villa for yourself', but the family, bless them, stayed out the way in their own quarters for the duration and we had full access to the grounds, pool and gardens. * Great pool, lovely and deep and a good size (could do with a freshen up from the falling leaves and bird poo around the edges of the pool) but a brilliant pool. * The villa itself is set within pretty, relaxing grounds and it's very safe with big gates at the front. * Working air-conditioning in rooms. * plenty of space for outdoor dining. * Lidl just down the road for self catering needs * Has BBQ * Easy location for downtown Catania. * Quiet location. Overall a brilliant, relaxing stay in a beautiful setting. We absolutely loved it and would definitely stay again! Thank you to the owners once again, it was lovely meeting you. The location is fantastic. 3 km from Catania a paradise: lovely big garden with a large pool. We have been there 7 days and the host was very friendly. The appartments where nice. Tnx for having us.
