In this category it is simply excellent! Giovanni is an attentive host, a location is close to the railway and bus stations and 15 minutes walk to the centre, breakfast provided is varied, good and fresh and the terrace with a view of Etna is a cherry on the cake! It is clean and comfortable.

For all the years l have been travelling on leisure and business trips, l have never felt such warmth and enthusiasm as in Catania at Giovanni's Royal House. Don't get me wrong, there are more beautiful, modern and exclusive amenities that many hotels and tourism industry entities have to offer. But, sincerity, humility, wholehearted dedication to one's guest is priceless. Giovanni is always ready at all times to advise, aid, and talk with that smile which never leaves his face. Royal house is ideally located. Close to the main bus and train stations as well as walking disance to Vis Etnea the main street in the city centre. Cafes, restuarants and shopping are easily accessible. Thank you Giovanni, when in Catania l have a place that felt like home.

“Perfect host good location near the station and bus station”

Perfect location, near the station and the bus station. Beautiful view over Etna, great host. The breakfast was perfect and luxurious. We in Germany have a rich breakfast, and even for me it was more than good. Giovanni, our host, was very hospitable, helped us get around the city, and gave us good tips. The accommodation was very clean, and we had coffee and tea all day and complimentary water. Thank you Giovanni for your hospitality

Comfortable room, super clean and spacious bathroom, great to have the private terrace (upstairs). Giovanni, our host, was friendly and helpful. It's a perfect place for a short stay, especially if you need to be close to the train station or bus stop.

Tiny B&B. Maybe just the one room. There was a private rooftop terrace which was wonderful. Breakfast included real bread, cheese and ham as well as sweet things. All good quality. They served breakfast as early as 6:15 that allowed us to eat before our early flight. They provided a shuttle to the airport.

Our room was nice, comfortable and clean. You can see the Etna from the terrace. Excellent breakfast is served here. The house is next to the train/bus station and in walking distance from the city center. We had a very kind and flexible host, helping us with all information we needed. Thanks a lot Giovanni!

The room was spotless and very comfortable. We had a lovely terrace upstairs with a little view of Etna where a yummy breakfast was served at our time of choice. The host Giovanni was very helpful, giving great tips on where to go and how to get there. Walking distance from the train and bus station and the main city sights. Highly recommend Royal House.

Giovanni is a wonderful host, and the property is beautiful on the inside - gorgeous contemporary reno, lovely room and bath, bed was very comfortable, and the rooftop deck offers a view of Mt. Etna. A generous and lovely breakfast is set up on the terrace each morning. Giovanni provides airport transfer for 25 euros, which is less than the taxi, make sure to arrange that with him. Mille grazie, Giovanni!

A lovely room in a great location. Very close to the train station and main bus station. The host was excellent, friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the terrace with a view of Etna was amazing and the terrace itself was a lovely place to relax in the evening after a busy day.

The Hosts' hospitality was great. He was very informative about the area and places to visit. The breakfast was lovely. The room was very clean and comfortable. Having the terrace was an added bonus. I would highly recommend staying here. With easy access to the centre of town and close to the busses and metro. It was excellent value for money.

The location is very close to the train station and bus terminal which served us well, but at some distance from the city center. Everything was very clean and well maintained and the owner very friendly and helpful.

“Relaxed, wonderful food, location and host”

Having read previous reviews about the area where Royal House is I was pleasantly surprised, certainly a little way out of the centre but an easy walk into Catania and the bus station was within two minutes and offered excellent services to Syracuse and other towns that were easy and cheap to use. Catania itself was beautiful and was the ideal location for our holiday. Giovanni is an excellent host, apologised for his English but honestly no need, it like the Royal House was very good. Breakfast was superb and served on a private terrace that did have a view of Etna and the room was of a high standard with a great shower and comfy bed. The area is quiet at night and we slept wonderfully. Giovanni helped with maps, directions to town and suggestions for excursions and arranged our tour of Etna. Can not fault a thing about the holiday or Royal House 😁
