Featuring a terrace, Homestay is a recently renovated bed and breakfast located in a historic building in the centre of Catania, close to Catania Piazza Duomo. It is set 400 metres from Catania Cathedral and offers a tour desk. The bed and breakfast provides city views, an outdoor fireplace, and free WiFi is available. Our stay at Homestay Rooftop in Catania was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to the brilliant hosts, Edina and Paolo. We had initially planned to stay only briefly in Catania, but they made us regret not booking a longer stay! :) From the moment we arrived, Edina and Paolo made us feel like we were staying with friends rather than at a hostel or hotel. They took the time to share their fascination with Catania, Mount Etna and the city's incredible ice cream scene. They even let us in on a local secret - the best ice cream in town! What really set this experience apart were the great tips and recommendations from our hosts. They immediately told us what was worth our time and what we could skip, ensuring we made the most of our short stay in Catania. Their insider knowledge was invaluable. The accommodation itself was fantastic, with a stunning rooftop terrace that offered breathtaking views over the city and -of course- on Mount Etna. If you're looking for a truly unique and memorable experience in Catania, we cannot recommend Homestay Rooftop enough. Edina and Paolo's warm hospitality, passion for their city, and wealth of local knowledge made our stay unforgettable. We only wish we could have stayed longer! One thing we highly recommend is taking a tour of Mount Etna with Paolo, who just happens to be THE expert on Etna and volcanoes. Even if you don't know anything about volcanoes or consider them boring, Paolo will certainly be able to infect you with his fascination. It was one of the best guided tours we've ever attended - insightful and engaging. Paolo's extensive knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to make the subject accessible to anyone make him an exceptional guide.

“Homely!”
Edina are Paolo were great hosts. I would 100% recommend their home stay for anyone staying in Catania. It is beautifully decorated, very confortable and we truly feel at home. On top of that it is centrally located, next to all the main attractions and with an amazing view of Etna. Cherry on top they sent me a list of recommendations for Catania that was extremely helpful !

“Cozy apartment in the heart of Catania”
We stayed here for a short time, but we found ourselves in a cute apartment room - with lovely and very helpful hosts. The room was clean, the bed was comfy. I'm not a fan of shared bathrooms, but there was no conflict this time.

“The perfect place to stay in Catania!”
Edina was the most lovely host and took a lot of time to tell us about the must-sees in Catania or even other places in Sicily. Also, her boyfriend is a Geologist and does amazing tours on Etna off the beaten path - we had the most amazing hike up there. Edina even had free cookies and coffee for us in the kitchen :D In general, lovely people, beautiful flat, amazing rooftop (just like in the pictures) - a must if you visit Catania! :)

“Clean, lovely, perfect and hopefully soon again.”
Edina and Paolo were super welcoming and showed us around everything. The place is made with much love and style and is super super clean. Catania is quite small and this place is right in the middle of it. No matter what direction your going to, there is something near by to do or to see. We had an unexpected situation with our rental car and had to get back to the airport. During that time we were allowed to leave our baggage longer which was also very kind and helpful for our trip. It really is a homestay because you feel like at home and have the necessary privacy as well. If Catania definitely again at their place.
