Overview
Situated on the shore of a rocky beach in Catania, Camping Jonio offers air-conditioned bungalows and mobile homes with an equipped veranda and kitchenette. Guests have free access to the private beach. The property is surrounded by a park and features a shop, a games room and children’s playground. Vending machines and a bar are available, while the restaurant is open every day and serves Sicilian cuisine. Camping Jonio is within 6 km of Catania Centrale Train Station. A bus stopping 600 metres from the property links to the city centre, and car hire can also be arranged. Mount Etna is a 40-minute drive away.

“A wonderful sea just in front of your hause”
Despite all circumstances, we enjoyed our stay outside the house near the sea because the shore was amazing. It had ladders and a trampoline to the water, so it was perfect for both the old and the young.

“Only recommended for tent and campervan travelling”
Only the location and staff were nice. They have a tent and campervan service for road travellers. That is good because of the location next to a rocky seaside area. Beautiful view and can climb down to sit near to the sea and go in for the brave 🤣

The staff is amazing! Victoria, Vincenza, Martina, Federica, Sam and of course also Giuseppe took care of me very well, made sure I have a pleasant stay. It feels like home when I am there :) I will be back again soon...

“We had a great time!”
A perfect seaside oasis! We actually live nearby in Catania but we wanted to enjoy the sea so we had a “staycation” at Jonio. It was perfect. The mobile homes are in a well kept part of the campground. The seaside here is rocky cliffs but the campground has many stairs and ladders for easy access to swim in the sea. The homes are equipped with a small kitchen and a table on the porch. We prepared our own meals so didn’t use the restaurant but it looked nice and the staff were friendly when we had a look at the menu. The front office/check in staff were also friendly and really helpful. All in all, a really great place and so relaxing! We will come back again!

“Holidays in Catania”
Very good place by the sea. There is an excellent diving center. Very close to a shopping center as well as great fish restaurants. The camping site is its main value.
