My favorite hotel. Strongly recommend!

“An excellent stay, with amazingly accommodating staff, no request was too much for them.”

The hotel was very unique set in an old family home, dramatically high ceilings, marble staircases, a lovely rooftop seating area. The WhatsApp messaging is excellent for overcoming any language barriers, obviously they spoke English and Sicilian. The staff helped with what to do, where to go, best places to eat, booking taxis, best beaches. They got in special food for me as i have coeliac disease. One of the best hotels we have stopped in.

This is an exceptional place to stay. It is brilliantly located near the fish market and central to old Catania. It is an incredibly beautiful hotel and abundant with wonderful modern art. The room was clean, facilities great and the staff very helpful.

From the moment we arrived at Asmundo di Gisira, I felt I had walked into something quite special. This boutique hotel isn’t just a place to sleep - it’s an artistic journey through Sicilian myth, history, and design. Location: This is one of Asmundo’s strongest points. Nestled in old Catania, it’s just a short walk to Piazza del Duomo, the fish market, Castello Ursino, and many other charming landmarks. Communication and arrival from the property was excellent. Staff very receptive and able to provide information on some great local restaurants. The rooftop bar was beautiful with lovely views over Catania. Breakfast was also very generous!

Amazing set up. Our room was great, the layout of the hotel and all the rooms with there furnishings and artworks made it feel special. Staff were really great, kind and helpful, sorting out any queries we had and making great recommendations. Roof top bar was also a winner, creating an oasis above the hustle and bustle down on the street. Bed was amazingly comfortable with great linen !

Restored high ceilinged palazzo full of modern art. We had a full sized Batman outside our room! Super friendly and helpful staff.
