“Sadly not worth the price they charge”

The location direct at the entry of the national park is very convenient. Due to my mistake a booked a room with a shared bathroom and wasn’t happy with this, the hotel gave me a free upgrade to a better room, which was extremely nice from them. The room itself was clean, free water available, bed was comfortable. But this being said, I was forced by the staff to write a „positive only“ review, otherwise they told me they will charge me for the upgrade. I refused to do so and told them the honest review will be done after check out. Also positive to mention: staff was very helpful in booking a bus back to SG.

“A unique expereince in a unique hotel in a unique location - you'll love it”

Cat Tien is a unique find, its remote locationvery much an attaction. When they say 'jungle' they real mean jungle, set on the convulance of two rivers, near to a monkey sanctuary, it really is a special location, and then when you are offered such great service from the staff, super food and English spoken owner who is pleased to share with you the history of the hotel and the locatuon, it really is a 'must stay' hotel. You'll love it - trust me!

An ambivalent experience. While the location and the building itself are very nice, we were confronted with staff that did not speak one word of English, making communication on a misunderstanding regarding the booking virtually impossible. Moreover, they sold us a clearly overpriced tour of the Cat Tien national Park, contrasting with the complete absence of any service regarding the organization of the tour.

“This is a great place to experience the jungle.”

The staff were exceptional. Loi was amazing he helped me with so much stuff like tours etc and even booked my bus ticket back to Ho Chi Minh and cane with me to where I had to meet it. Nothing was too much trouble and he was a great guy to talk to as well.

The staff were lovely, no English but we used translator apps. The location was incredible. There was a pool to have a dip in after a long hot day. The mosquito nets were handy,

• Beautiful Setting: The lodge is situated in a picturesque location next to Cat Tien National Park, offering a serene environment with the Dong Nai River in the backyard.  • Spacious Accommodation: Our two-bedroom bungalow was nicely appointed with large beds in each room, providing ample space for our family. • Helpful Staff: When we raised concerns about our initial accommodation, the staff were responsive and moved us to a family bungalow next door. • Unique Jungle Experience: We appreciated the authentic jungle atmosphere, including nighttime encounters with local wildlife like frogs and geckos, which added to the adventure.

“A delightful stay on the edge of the jungle”

Our 3-night stay at Cat Tien Jungle Lodge was just delightful! The Lodge is built in wood and stone with a spacious garden, ponds and the river that flows just by the bungalows. The rooms are tastefully appointed with comfortable canopy beds with mosquito nets. Our bungalow looked over the river, across from the jungle and its concert of sounds, with a special mention for the mesmerizing call of the gibbons. The restaurant is reminiscent of a romantic tree house and serves great food made from locally-sourced products. The staff are very friendly and the owner, Ms Phuong, was most helpful in recommending hikes in the jungle and boat rides. The lodge also offers sound therapy sessions in a dedicated meditation room. Cat Tien Jungle Lodge is clearly on the top end of accommodation available in the area with a dedication to ecotourism and an unbeatable location on the very edge of the National Park. Our stay was a lovely break from the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and we will definitely be back at Cat Tien Jungle Lodge for more jungle adventures!

Great location, right next the the river. Great staff, always willing to help you with anything/everything you need. And the owner was fantastic, giving us so much advice for our travels in the local area and beyond. Even specific cuisines/restaurants to try in local places along our route. Proceeded to send us many recommendations and offered to be contactable via WhatsApp for any issues/advice for the rest of our trip. Above and beyond.

Nothing really! This property has huge potential but is poorly run!

Location is great. Right in front of Nam Cat Tien jungle. Spacious room. At lunch and dinner the foods were great.

Just next to the park. Good spacious property and a nice small pool with the riverview. Natural products and everything is close to nature. Ms.Phung is a great host.

Excellent Location right near park entrance. The lodge itself is an impressive looking two story wooden building. Although the pool is small, it does have a pool which very few of guest houses in the area have.

We had 9 people and stayed at the big room for maximum 12 adults. When we checked in the room the room was somewhat clean. But the whole refrigerator was filled with the "owner"'s leftover foods and drinks. No blankets were provided. I called the receptionist and had to demand blankets after she told me the mattress protector was to be used as a blanket 😒. The sofa at the balcony was dusty and floor had dead bugs scattered (we're right across from the National park so I can understand the bugs issue). Therefore I asked the HSK to lend me something so I can clean it myself if needed, but they told me there will be bugs even after you clean it. The bathrooms were not fully cover (I guess the idea was for us to feel the nature). However, later in the evening both bathroom were invaded with bugs, fully covering the ceiling, floor, the sink, toilet seats...We had to keep the bathroom doors shut all the time to keep the bugs to fly into the room. My daughters and I couldn't have a good sleep and kept waking up because bugs were on our beds, face and whichever body part that was not covered under the blanket. It was a terrible night for us.
