“very special place but getting there can be a challenge”
the last 20km to reach the property are on a poor dirt road. Signposting and way markers need to be much better especially for those arriving late in the day when park wardens have gone home.

“A true escape in to nature”
Beautiful location within a remote park (you have to cross three wooden bridges to get here). Friendly and helpful staff, mainly volunteers, who look after guests, the lodge and provide tours. The rooms are comfortable, food provided is on a set menu but was excellent using local produce including plants from the garden and fish. The boat tour with Forest walk was great even though it was raining and gave us a good perspective on the flora and fauna of the local area. The night walk was also good. Views from the restaurant were fantastic.

We loved our stay at this wonderful lodge located in the private park of Tepuheuico south of Castro. The lodge has been around for many years but was recently taken over by the son of the family who has been working hard to make improvements to the trail systems and facilities. The views are gorgeous, the setting very tranquil, food is fantastic (home made bread yum). The staff were really incredible, generous, and kind. We enjoyed several tours with their excellent naturalist and best of all we saw lots of pudus! Only seven rooms in the lodge so very intimate and a couple beautiful large cabins for families/groups. Highly recommend.

Beautifully located in a lush green park and right next to a lake. Perfect for those who want to have a quiet retreat close to nature. Perfect for stargazing and seeing plenty of animals up close. The rooms are a bit old but clean and comfy. Food was delicious, especially dinner. Staff ist very friendly and helpful.

“An incredible stay at the lodge for nature lovers and anyone wanting a peaceful respite”
The Lodge is in an incredible location. If you are a nature lover, this is the place for you! The lodge and park guides help to make the visit an adventure and a learning experience. Night hikes, boating to a remote hiking area, trails that are easily accessible were especially appreciated. The lodge is warm, comfortable, and welcoming. We would absolutely send friends and family to stay here. Not t be missed on a trip to Chiloe!
