“Cosy Palafito B&B”

The Palafito is very cosy and welcoming, the decor is very interesting, and there are lots of books on Chiloe. The Palafito is well-located within walking distance of cafés, restaurants, and the artisanal market and Iglesia. The water view from the lounge room is lovely, you can spot lots of different waterbirds from the deck. There is parking on the street out front but during the day the street is busy with cars and mussell trucks so park as close to the kerb as you can and folks your mirrors in. It was quiet at night and the beds very comfortable. Our host, Glenny, was an absolute delight. She made our stay very memorable. It's a great base for exploring Castro.

Location on the water and the open area for watching activity on the water. Comfortable rooms and the assistance provided by Glenny - she was extremely friendly and very helpful despite our lack of a common language. We communicated well through Google translate. She provided excellent advice on good restaurants and transport options. She also arranged reliable taxis for us.

It's a charming B&B which conserved it's original old looks as Palafito from outside, but is renovated to a cosy modern ambience inside. Our room had a beautiful view out onto the the sea and the opposite coast - a paradise for birds. There was also a cosy sitting room towards the sea with a roaring fire stove. Very quiet at night due to well insulated windows, with comfortable wide beds, very good shower and good breakfast with fruit and joghurt, scrambled eggs, bread, muffins, juice and very good Italian coffee, we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely come back if we were to visit the area again!

This is a lovely place on the water. We had a large room with a balcony and nice views. The community areas are also very large and nicely decorated. The host didn't speak much English and we don't speak much Spanish, but Google Translate allowed us to communicate very well with her. She was very helpful in answering our questions. We were there for several days, so we were also able to have our laundry done which was nice on a long trip. Their are several very good restaurants within walking distance, including one she recommended.

The location and the views are wonderful. The living room and terraces are spacious. My room (#4) had a private terrace on top. The breakfast was good.

Truly fabulous location! Choose the water view room with terrace if it’s available. Tastefully decorated, stylish and very relaxing place to stay. We woke to black necked swans gliding across the water directly in front of our room! Nice breakfast, walking distance to restaurants. Easy street parking.

Beautiful small Palafito in a great location. Excellent welcome from super staff. Relaxing communal lounge and outside deck. Our room was delightful - everything you might need, comfy bed, huge picture window of the bay, plus balcony. Delicious breakfast.

The Hotel is situated in a traditional „Palafito“ directly on the water and offers amazing views from the common area. It is beautifully designed, super clean and modern. The service was personal and extremely kind. Amazing breakfast as well!

The decor and rooms are stunning. The bed was so comfortable and the living space was so warm and inviting. Glenny was a wonderful host and cooked the best breakfast. She was full of wonderful recommendations of things to do on the entire island.

Glenny is a wonderful hostess. The breakfasts were substantial and her buttery scambeled eggs are somehow better than my own! Recommended.

Very nicely decorated palafito house with the greatest view of the lake. The staff is very friendly. Super clean rooms and comfortable beds. They served one of the best breakfast we had in Chile.
