“Lovely big room with a fantastic garden”

We were greeted by the hostess, who was very friendly and welcoming. She gave us lots of information about the house, the communal areas, the town and general issues about Spain. This was great, although maybe a little much at that time as we had been walking the Camino and just wanted to shower and relax. She gave us a great tip for a short cut into the town, which was a much nicer walk than the main road. Bed was really comfortable. Breakfast is not provided, but there are food items and drinks in the dining room which you can help yourself to which was very generous. The garden is huge and lovely. You are free to use it if you wish.

“Delightful, welcoming stay”

Maria was very welcoming and hospitable. The gardens and property are lovely and on a warm day would be delightful. Our room was equipped with a fridge microwave air fryer and coffee maker plus the toaster in the shared lounge. The many packaged pastries along with fresh hazelnuts and lemons were there for sharing. The surprise breakfast offerings of muesli and toast made us feel at home. The access to the local beach was quick and it was a nice promenade walk into town. It is right beside the Camino for leaving in the morning.

We stayed in the apartment, which was spotlessly clean, very roomy and comfortable. Maria was a very welcoming hostess and we were provided with many snacks, which was a bonus. This accommodation is like an oasis in the middle of town, only 5 minutes walk to the beach and an easy 20 minutes to town.

Maria was an exceptional, kind and friendly host, she went above and beyond to explain the history and sites to visit in Castro Urdiales. The room was comfortable and clean and the establishment was very homely. I highly recommend staying at Garden Rooms if visiting Castro Urdiales. The location was amazing - right on the beach and perfect for those doing the camino as it is right at the start of the walk heading to Liendo/Laredo. Many thanks Maria for a wonderful stay!

A charming Inn. We enjoyed the kind welcome and helpful information provided. The room was very nice with a modern, large bathroom and comfortable queen size bed. We appreciated the available self-serve coffee, tea, beer, baked items, and morning toast. Also very close to the Camino route.

Lovely, family run place right on the Camino with an incredibly friendly and helpful owner. Great sized, comfortable room in beautiful surroundings with lots of places to sit and relax. 5 minutes walk to a quiet and clean beach, highly recommended!

Maria was very welcoming and friendly on arrival. We only stayed one night as we were passing through but she gave us a lot of information on Castro Urdiales - a very picturesque port within 10 mins walk. The room was very comfortable with bedroom (with TV) and bathroom with shower as well as an area with coffee machine, fridge microwave and utensils. There were also regional cakes and biscuits for a welcome. For people who stay longer - the garden has seats and seating areas for relaxing and there is a lounge with coffees and snacks as well as a range of books in different languages for adults and children.

Welcomed by lovely host into a quiet, private idyll, surrounded by tranquill gardens. Tea/coffee making, little cakes and fruits for guests. Dining table with crockery and cutlery for guests to use. Private secure parking for our open top classic car. Very quiet room with comfortable bed, new, modern bathroom. Lots of information and directions given by host. 10/15 minutes walk into town, which was bustling with people. Beautiful vistas, beaches and natural swimming places. We really enjoyed our overnight and wish we had booked longer. Thank you to the host who made us very welcome.
