“I'm not coming back - Too loud and too expensive for what you get”
The accommodation (and the whole town) has character. The breakfast is simple but decent (a good selection of jams and plenty of different teas) The bed was comfortable.

“Welcoming and comfortable.”
A great little place to say. When we walked, in a poetry recital was occurring downstairs and later that evening, they hosted a documentary, that they invited us to attend. Right away we felt welcome to this place. The rooms were clean and comfortable, in the bar had drinks at 1990 prices. Highly recommended.

The eccentricity of the hotel and surroundings. Breakfast was good.. Staff very helpful. Banjo the dog most welcoming. If the bed had been comfortable instead of hard, we would go back again.

Breakfast was a generous selve-serve. Hosts Margie and Allan are always welcoming and engaging. The hotel has an intimate, homely atmosphere, with many interesting curated art/ceramic/travel related items. Its easy walking distance from The Mill complex and the Botanic Gardens. The option to listen to the jazz band on Friday evening was an enjoyable extra feature.

This is a great set up- treading the fine line between feeling like a professional hotel, and feeling like a guest in their home- and doing it so well! I'm so glad I found it, best night of my trip.

“Wonderful stay in quirky old style hotel in great location.”
Great classic old style hotel with very friendly hosts. Simple continental breakfast is included which was a really great bonus. Rooms are only small, but have everything you need and the bed was very comfortable.
