Location was fantastic and the property was very comfortable and easy to access. We loved the balcony and the view of town! The beds were also huge and super comfy and clean.

Fabulous location and accommodation, walking distance to pubs, bars ,cafes and a short drive to other communities including spas. Large balcony onto the main street was perfect for afternoon wine n nibbles. The kitchen is well set up.

Mister Rice is close to everything we wanted to see in Castlemaine. We were middle aged daughter, elderly mother and male cousin, so the separate bedrooms and shared kitchen were ideal. We are all readers so enjoyed the eclectic selection on offer.

“We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for families and small groups.”
So spacious, very clean and gorgeous, there was plenty of room for four of us, on a winter break. Nicely presented, with lots of interesting books! We enjoyed the massive TV and cosy couches. There is a full kitchen with all sorts of useful containers and utensils, as well as a few pantry staples. Easy walk to supermarket, shops, and basically all of central Castlemaine. Hosts were super-prompt in responding to feedback, and they fixed some small issues straight away.
