“Great for a getaway friendly hosts & cute cottage”

Located in a quiet bush setting close to town. Kitchen has everything you need & well equipped. Cozy fireplace place & air conditioning!

“Private oasis in historic township.”

Hosts saved us the walk to and from the station. The cottage was quiet and private in a setting of native flora. Verandah overlooked garden, beautiful birds, saw a hare, very warm and cosy, deep bath, provided with eggs and pears from the garden. Hosts were attentive but not intrusive. Indian takeaway delivered to the door. Cottage located a short walk to the quaint town. Many beautiful historic buildings. The best bookshop in Australia. Couldn’t resist adding to our library. Botanic gardens are a joy and there were many excellent eating spots with excellent wines.

The accommodation is so cute, cosy and clean! Location to Castlemaine is ideal and the hosts were friendly. Private and comfy. We loved it!

Great location. So much provided. Milk tea coffee sugar and condiments. Fresh eggs from chooks on the property. Very clean and tidy. All you need to bring is yourself and your clothing everything else provided besides food. Host are very welcoming.

Lovely setting. The verandah and living area were delightful. Pool was great bonus.

“Relaxed stay”

The cottage was in a lovely location. The swimming pool was divine. The hosts were friendly and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. There was milk in the fridge on arrival, local chocolate gifted and eggs from their own chickens. Lisa even took kids to feed chickens and let them collect freshly laid eggs. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

“Great Cottage”

The place was very comfortable and clean. My kids loved the pool and adored to feed and collect eggs from the chickens. It was also very close to the turistic places we wanted to visit.

We loved that the property came across quite secluded, yet it was only a short drive into town! We loved the surrounding bush - that made it feel very cosy and safe.

Very minor - the path from the car to accommodation was unmade, this meant that wheeled suitcases had to be carried. We are both 'injured' at the moment so this was awkward.

It was very comfortable and warm when we needed it to be and cool on the hot days. Pool was a lovely treat for the kids on the hot days we had. Bed was so comfy! Bath was lovely and my kids liked having the chickens to check each day!

My friend unfortunately was not happy with the bunk beds, even though she did see the picture. Maybe it needs to specify they are children’s beds..
