Palazzo Barbini Dimora is something truly special. You are not just staying somewhere — you are living in a real palazzo. Space everywhere: to the left, to the right, high ceilings, rooms that seem to continue forever. At some point you may even wonder if you accidentally rented half of a Renaissance palace. Everything is arranged with great taste and harmony. No artificial “hotel design” — it feels authentic, elegant and very Italian. But if your dream interior is IKEA minimalism, flat-pack furniture and Allen keys, it’s probably better to walk past this place. Here the furniture has history. And most likely it was already here when IKEA was still just an idea in Sweden.

“Feel badly misled by photos/descriptions in what was no better than very poor student accommodation.”

Whilst set in an historic building our suite was more like poor student accommodation and not reflective of the photographs or description. The ancient air con and fridge were noisy and kept us awake. In the morning water from a heavy storm leaked from the roof and flooded the bathroom. Combined with what appeared 'dodgy' electrics we couldn't wait to leave. Our worse Italian accommodation experiences by far! We really think

“Fabulous”

Wow what an amazing place. Bang in the middle of town overlooking the lake and the church bell. The owner was very friendly. They also have a farm with restaurant and pool which is only 7 minutes drive away. Owner met us helped with our luggage and sorted us somewhere for free parking. Can't recommend this place enough. Surrounded by restaurants, small bars, and cafes not forgetting the beautiful ice cream cafe.

The MOST amazing stay…let this stunning property take you back in time and enjoy all the antiques, space and comfort of what feels like living in a beautiful museum. With a superb location we spent one night in the 2 bed penthouse apartment with private terrace overlooking the lake. It was breathtaking. Ignore any bad reviews and book because you will not be disappointed. Clean, huge rooms and comfy beds. Lovely host. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Huge room, very nicely decorated in a medieval kind of style, cute little kitchen and a smaller sized bathroom. Very centrally located in the city centre, literally out the door and you are there where the places are to eat, drink etc. Our room did have a lovely view on the lake

The host was extremely accommodating and welcoming to our family.. The hotel was clean and the rustic vibe of the hotel transports you to another time. Being in the quiet town was a great contrast to tourist heavy cities. The outdoor swimming pool is off-site at their private villa..our kids loved the pool and the atmosphere.

The building is gorgeous, as the bedrooms and the common room. Excellent location and lovely staff. They also have a wine bar and can recommend you a bottle that you can take as a souvenir or drink in your room.
