Set in Castiglion Fiorentino, in a historic building, 20 km from Piazza Grande, San Michele al Castello is a recently renovated bed and breakfast with free bikes and garden. Beautiful room and property. A bit of a walk through the walled city and up steps to the accommodation, but this was rewarded by stunning views and a lovely grassy terrace to sit in the sun with a glass of wine. Renovated servants quarters for the castle so interesting history and aspect. Hostesses were kind and helpful. Breakfast was lovely in the conservatory outside

The welcome & all the people who work at San Michele al Castello were amazing! So lovely and friendly, going above and beyond. The room was beautiful & the location stunning. It was quiet at night with a lovely comfy bed - a great night's sleep! The breakfast was incredible. I would love to stay here again - I would highly recommend it.

Most fantastic hotel in Tuscany. We visited several places but this was the best. Not only are the rooms really nice, also the garden and the view from it is outstanding. The service is really great and helpful. All the best.

“Beyond Superb”
This is seriously one beautiful place. Extraordinary view out over the city. Has a charming homely feel to it. Watching the sun set in the front lawn was a wonderful highlight of our time there. Beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. Our stay was really peaceful. Cinzia spoilt us with a wonderful breakfast with homemade cakes and biscuits and Sonia filled our minds with the amazing history of Castiglion Fiorentino and how this amazing house was renovated by her whole family.

“Perfect location and brilliant hosts”
Almost everything! It was a perfect location with very helpful and friendly staff who felt more like family. If you are driving, please make sure you get them to help you navigate to the closest public parking area, because the medieval town centre is a maze of narrow streets you will not be able to negotiate yourself!

Very special stay in a residence within old city walls, with a small garden for breakfast overlooking the Tuscan valley. Parking is 250 m away from the hotel, but staff helped us with luggage.

“Radiating all the beauty and love of a Tuscan town.”
After coming from the hectic nature of the larger Italian cities and towns, arriving in Castiglion Fiorentino was bliss. Sonia picked me up from the train station and took me back to the accommodation which was incredible. A bed and breakfast at its core but delivered with love. And the location? Breathtaking!
